Re: Irving Mosquito

Love the look of this fella!! Love that he supports us and that hawthorn didn’t end up taking him.. hopefully he turns into an awesome player and hawthorn can kick themselves for the same amount of time we’ve been kicking ourselves over Myers before Cyril... hopefully Myers plays with misquito ind a...

Re: Zac Clarke

But we don’t need him in the forward line... we have Joe tippa raz Stewart/brown then any mix of Langford laverde bags zaha Stringer or even shiel... not to mention the young guys like begs ect.... Clarke is purely back up to tbc... hopefully even challenges him for the role... is he up to it grassy??

Re: DYLAN SHIEL

Great effort to get Sheil in!! Give us a fantastic midfield group capable of going toe to toe with the best in the competition... I feel like two first rounds is a heavy price to pay but we’ve been calling on dodoro to get an Agrade mid for years now so we really couldn’t afford to let the opportuni...

Re: Vale the Mayor of Fumbledon

At his best Trav was a decent player... super quick, he had genuine line breaking pace and handy in front of goals... unfortunately as I think we can all agree we didn’t see enough of his best and over the last two years especially he seemed to go backwards with poor decision making and poor disposa...

Re: How Does Our Midfield Rate with Shiel

Agree with the points above. I think Langford will be a really good player... I think McGrath will become the better of the two players long term... I think Dave “Long left boot” Myers must be looking at our list and wondering if he’ll get a game this year!!! I believe like many others I’ve said mos...

Break out the champagne,Devon Smith. Just out of interest, what names might be attached to the awards of 2nd,3rd and even 4th place getter’s trophies? Are any of them in the name of The Essendon Past Players(and Officials?)? The Gumby - player with the most potential on the injured list more oft tha...

Re: Young fringe players... who will make it?

I’b been most impressed by Francis and Redman so far, I believe they both look like genuinely classy players. I like the looks of Ridley, Begley and Mutch but the jury’s still out Guelfi has a great year but where do we see him playing long term? Mid? Half fwd? Half back? Not sure he’d be in our bes...

Young fringe players... who will make it?

Interested to know everyone’s thoughts about our current group of young players coming through... if we believe the club everyone of these blokes is “highly regarded” at the club and has a “bright future” but we’ve heard that before see Daniel McAllister, Shane Harvey Alex Browne etc The players I’m...

Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine

I am really wondering how we are in the mix for players like Parker and Shiel while only off loading (at this point in time) one player on a sizable packet - ie Goddard. Surely the salary cap must be pretty tight with guys like Heppell, Daniher, Hurley and Hooker all on $700K plus. (Correct me if I...

Lets look at it another way - barring delisting, these guys are currently not in the Best 22 Green Myers Colyer Brown Francis Mutch Begley Howlett Dea Bird Redman Clark Ridley Morgan Leuenberger McNiece Draper Long McKernan That list is spot on windy! Big questions on Green Coyler and Myers!! A few...
