"Stan" Carey!!. Had some memorable bouts with "Lethal Leigh" and did not give an inch. Not known as a hit man, but that backline put the shits up many a soft bunch of forwards. Was as tough as any Essendon player I can recall. Was a great clubman and sorely missed when given the...

Perhaps there'll be a couple of late changes with a couple of talls not coming up in time. Aren't Lucas and Fletch under a cloud?

I will arrive home on MOnday morning to a different state, as I hear Bracks is gone as well. Its like one of thos 'where were you when?' scenarios. Was in Fazana Croatia when I turned on my mobile only to get a steady stream of SMSs. Thought something may be happening but didnt expect this kind of n...

PS - I thought it was a pretty gutsy effort from Richo last night. He could easily have tried to protect his face by leading up all night and taking soft chest marks but he chose to play his normal way, contested pack marks etc Nothing but admiration for the bloke. He sometimes displays childish be...

Traded Xavier Ellis for him before last week's game. My team was still crap despite his good showing.

Essendon v North, VFL Park, 1975

Don't remember much except that we won. That year we finished 9th or 10th and North won the flag, so I suppose it must have been an upset of sorts.

Peter Cransberg - Air Berger (from wearing the same number as Michael Jordan) Tony Delaney - Funky (from rapper Del the Funky Homosapien) Dale Kickett - O.B.B. (all the hype ...

Nobody was going to beat Franklin yesterday, and it's hard to blame McPhee when he was caught out by our midfield constantly turning the ball over.

While the umps didn't cost us the game, they were downright f****** heinous nonetheless. Again it was the non-decisions. No team's that disciplined that they only give away 10 free kicks in three and a half quarters (haven't heard the final tally).

I try to avoid bagging players on the web as a rule, but Bradley was just plain terrible today. I've remained optimistic about him but after today the optimism is all but gone. Sadly, I don't think he even deserves a chance to atone.

It looked a whole lot worse on TV than it did at the game. On the TV it looked more like bloody crimson. Perhaps I need to adjust the colour on my set.

Was behind the goals at the other end on level two. Absolute blinder, moved about in the air too like no other kick I'd seen before.
