Re: Finals Run Up

Hawthorn just proved how susceptible the Egirls can be if you play ‘em right? So Why the f*** can’t we? We lead them 5 - ZERO in Finals by the way! We won't beat the Eagles because it requires taking their space, to deny them their "keepings-off" brand. Sadly we're too ill-disciplined to "man-up" d...

Re: Who's on modified training?

His left AC joint should be good and strong now. Sublax v sublux is likely a better description as the small joint is lax and the capsule spreads but doesn't dislocate. If it's minor gr1 then there have been players return within a fortnight, heavily strapped. Not ideal of course and finals footy c...

I’ll have an Axe to Grind if Lyon gets our Coach’s Job ahead of anybody! :-& :-& :-& :-& :-& 🤢🤮
I'll be horrified if our Club chooses Lyon.
If....IF....Woosha isn't coach next year, it'll be Rutten or Caracella.

Re: Ross Lyon

Pregame chat on 774 about Ross Lyon basically said that Lyon has a great relationship with his very best players and an ordinary one with players 11-44 and the staff. Reporting that he was basically sacked to avoid a big walkout of Freo talent. We don't need that nonsense. Wish I'd listened to that...

Hurleys right shoulder injury is....? :-k
A sublaxation - not sure of spelling and can't be bothered to look it up.
Only upside is it's not the same shoulder he injured 6 weeks ago.
Downside is that he now has 2 suspect shoulders!
A difficult task to be available in 2 weeks though.

Re: Tom Jok

I'm not trying to bag the guy, just being honest....he looked obviously out of his depth tonight. He was trying, no doubt, and did a few nice things, but mostly looked like he had no idea where to be or what to do next. His selection was a surprise given the reports from his VFL games where he wasn...

McGrath anyone?
He almost got my 1. Vote, but the dude really needs to take some chill pills. He tried hard, effort was good, but he runs around like a chook with his head cut off and makes some really panicky disposals and decisions. Needs to talk to Pendlebury about composure.

Re: R23 Essendon v Collingwood

We did well to get as close as we did but at great cost if we've lost Hurley. They slaughtered us in the ruck and beat us in almost every other area and the maggots did the rest. Absolute blatant cheating for all to see.. Their marking in particular was strong and consistent whereas I don't remembe...

Some good signs tonight. McKernan and Tippa really good. Last ten minutes we played really poorly, turning it over many times. Maybe we ran out of legs.
If I hadn't watched the game, and this was the only comment I read, I'd think you were talking about the Anzac Day game!

We are working twice as hard as them for little advantage......
Skills were poor a lot of the time. Decision making questionable quite often too.

Re: R23 Essendon v Collingwood

Looks like our other personalities have turned up for 2nd quarter!! They shut down Parish......... Saad has only had 4 touches so far. And they managed to mostly nullify Hurley as well. Well coached Buckley. If we play them in 2 weeks, hopefully we have a plan to switch those outcomes around.

Re: R23 Votes v Umpire’s Prostitutes

5. Walla
4. McKernan
3. McKenna
2. Parish
1. ?? not sure anyone else really deserves a vote. Some tried but their decision making and/or disposal was too poor to qualify.

Re: R23 Essendon v Collingwood

It's smart selection. We can actually win with the team we have in. Yeah, I think selections are smart too, though I'd still be tempted to rest Hooker again. Not sure it's a winning team though. Where will the goals and forward-line pressure come from? Unless Begley or Laverde or Ham (or someone) h...

Re: Tom Jok

To be named ruck perhaps? Listed at 190cm and 74kg - he'll be smashed. Though he is way taller than 190, he is apparently going to be named on the wing. Given the way our team is named every week, that can only mean he WILL play Ruck!! Valued for his athletic versatility...an exciting and "ra...

VFL Coach's report from last round.... 12. Mark Baguley Stats: 13 disposals, two tackles, three inside 50s From the coach: ‘Bags’ played forward with a few minutes inside and played his role well, which was a bit of a selfless one. He didn’t hit the scoreboard this week, but he was consistent with h...
