Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

6 - 6 so far ain’t fine, but I reckon we are doing better than previously expected, given the early disasters of this season. Up to Worsfold, the coaching staff and the players to determine how much better this season can be. I’m not terribly optimistic, but ever hopefull.Watch this space! Reckon it's ...

Re: VFL Essendon 2019

Must have been a lot of scoring after 3/4 Time.Did the heavens open up and swamp Melbourne? Think Ben might have said 3/4 Time when he meant final scores. More info about the scores etc available here - http://websites.sportstg.com/round_info.cgi?a=MATCH&fixture=125262346&c=1-118-0-518179-0&pool=1

Stringer cleared, but sore.
That's big!!!
That's f***ng terrific!! Besides his 2 goals last night, he played a very important part in our win and I was prepared to write us off over in the West before :D :D :D
Still unlikely to play next week though, apparently.

How'd he go today?
22 disposals and a goal. I didn’t see the game, just followed the commentary.
Add 6 or 7 tackles to that as well.

Walla looks to me like he's getting into the wrong positions - too close to the marking contests (or even right in the marking contest!!)

Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

Very happy overall. I thought tbell really tried hard, saad played a blinder - I just love watching him take the game on. His efforts in the 3rd quarter to intercept and steal a footy, feign twice then bang it home from near 50 was goal of the year for me. Genuine effort tonight, got tired in the e...

Match 4;

AUS 307 off 49 overs (D. Warner 107, A. Finch 82, Mohammad Amir 5-30, Shaheen Afridi 2-70) v PAK
Bit of a trainwreck in the end.
4/242 after 37 overs.

At least we have an early wicket.

Re: 2019 Half Season Report Card

As usual, a decent summary BD. I could only disagree with some of the ratings you gave. And mostly only slightly. TBC - 5. I think he's been serviceable. Langford - 6. Again, he's done OK. Merrett - 8. For my thinking, just not as damaging as he has been before. Hurley - 7. Purely as a comparison to...

Re: ALL CLASS v CLASS CLOWNS

He gets ZERO sympathy from me Windy. His antics just prior to the French Open, suggested he needed a good, long suspension to think things through, rather him pull the pun to do so. People might be quick to criticise him,but only because he is quick to open his mouth,or say something stupid on Twitter....

Re: Things to do during a Bye

Watch other AFL games and pretend that we are the winning team haha. No seriously I am watching the cats demolish Richmondcurrently Hope Woosha and most of the team are watching. After a good start in Q1 Tigers are down 98 to 24 in Q3. Like us Richmond started playing panic football in frantic erra...

Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

In - Fantasia, Brown Out - Begley, Baguely, I am assuming Shiel and Stringer will be carefully managed and not risked Begley looks like he needs to find some form in the 2's so Brown in for him to offer some height up front. Baguely the obvious exclusion for a Fanta I think you can count on Shiel b...

Re: VFL Essendon 2019

Langford future captain? Barely component enough to get a game. Give old Filthy his crack pipe back ffs. Well, in 5 - 7 years that may change. All I’m saying at the moment is that he is emerging as a player now. He’s just entered that 50 - 100 game period. Most players start having an impact then. ...

Re: Snelling.

If we can leave aside the comparison with DeGoey (a big call) then I reckon he could be a useful asset. Maybe, other than Smith, think of him more like a Caleb Daniel. Certainly knows how to find the ball and a good tackler. So a bit like Smith. Don't need them both in midfield at the same time beca...

Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

A backline including Hurley, Hooker, Ambrose, BZT and Francis?? Don't think so. And no ruckman? Presuming they are fit to play... IN - Stringer, Fantasia, Shiel & Brown. OUT - Francis, Begley, Zaharakis & Baguley. Stringer, Shiel & Fantasia are automatic inclusions. McKernan only keeps his place as ...
