Re: R20 ESSENDON v Sydney Swamps

Aha! When I first saw the team I didn't notice Hooker was listed as injured - and I thought they must have been resting him because he was sore last week, although if he was sore I thought he should've been listed as injured. Makes sense now :D But anyway.....where are we going to get enough goals f...

Re: Cullamarine 2021

There's a case for getting rid of most/all of them. But I think we'll keep most. We're seriously short on depth, and have a very sub-par VFL side. Keeping most of those blokes around for occassional AFL call-ups, and to help build the VFL side, would serve a good purpose. Serious chats at end of sea...

There was nothing "blue collar" about this game.
Rant over.

Re: Where do you think we'll finish?

I literally don't care where we finish this year - unless we fall in a total hole from here on. And not too fussed about next year either, except to see some improvement. 2023 I'll start getting interested. I think it'll take 2 or more years to develop enough depth to be serious finals contenders. I...

Re: R17 Essendon v Adelaide

I think Rutten would have been veryyyyy happy with the game. Number one tick for him was the defence. It looks like the slow play across the middle is a plan to let the defence get setup in case of turnover, so the face that worked so well would have been very pleasing for him. Us fans wanted them t...

Re: ALL CLASS v CLASS CLOWNS

If he was match fit,no problems! He may have got past that problem on the day and pushed deep into the Tournament. But by his own confession,he dragged himself off the Couch to get to Wimbledon and to me,that is a reflection of his poor overall attitude to the Sport he supposedly can be bothered to...

Re: R17 Essendon v Adelaide

Cox had a better game. He seems to stop the flow of the game sometimes. Unsure if it's just waiting for team mates to move forward, indecision or lack of an immediate option. Anyhow, "doesn'tmattah" as he's just a youngster and doing mighty fine really. I just have to pick up on this re C...

File that one away in the "well we won, but if we play like that again we'll get smacked" drawer.

Re: Essendon v Geelong at Scat Park

I happen to think we're on the right track. But I also have lots of moments in games where I'm not so sure. Some of the errors made are genuinely rookie stuff. Couple of unpopular opinions.... If the kids are "cooked", shouldn't they at least start each game OK? And then fade out? We need ...

I might havd to stand corrected but seems that the culture has changed a bit there.lately.

f*** off Goodwin you f****** turd. Not one vote for any of our players. F-wit.

Then again, I find it hard to believe Rutten gave 5 & 4 to May & Lever when we kicked it straight to them all night.
Also surprised Oliver didn't get more votes.

Re: Essendon v Melbourne

We couldn't break the game open and they managed to strangle our movement. Poor decision making going forward. Walla and Hooker had shockers. Hooker has stopped to a walk the past couple of games. Sammy Draper got a lesson and dropped marks he should have taken. Gawn did as he pleased at the hit-ou...

Re: Essendon v Melbourne

Think 3 years ahead. That’s how I view our games at the moment. We’re proving to be difficult to play against. Top sides are getting a fair bit of pluck from us. Apart from some 10 minute lapses here and there, we’re right into games. While we may be losing, we’re giving top sides a shake. I think ...

Speaking of this website....How can I post a picture? Going by the "help" pages, it has to be a link to a publicly available picture. But I have a private picture (no, not rude, just a picture I took myself) that I wish to post here. Can I do that somehow?? I think you can only attach is ...
