Re: Andrew McQualter

And I don't even think Stanton is playing to his best at the moment. But you can see by these coparisons that he is up there with the guns of the competition. Plus he has more tackles, 1%ers, rebound from 50, and F50 entries than most of them. So he does work hard, but gets no thanks from anyone. A...

Re: Teams Ess vs StK

This is the reason (one of) that the Saints have been so unexpectedly good this year. Their second tier is excellent. Their workman players have knitted together to form a solid platform for their stars of which they have plenty, (trolling the bottom of the ladder for years will do that..... :) ) H...

Re: Teams Ess vs StK

When I say I dont rate a lot of the St Kilda players I mean in terms of being individually champions. I am talking of the likes of ; Gwilt, Baker, Dawson, Armitage, Dempster, Milne, Schneider, Ray, R Clarke. Now a lot of these guys have had excellent seasons and there has been a very consistent tea...

Re: Andrew McQualter

So is that a yes or a no? I reckon its a deal that would work well for both clubs and players. No, I wouldn't swap him for Stanton. The club's put a lot of time and effort getting him up to being a first team regular. He's gone from being a genuine mid-fielder in the 2005 draft to being more of a r...

We love the Tiprat. Best small forward in the comp or damn close to it.

Re: Andrew McQualter

just a simple yes or no for 2010... bit like prismall, trying to break into an elite midfeild? Doubt he'll be going anywhere Dyson. One of St.Kilda's most improved this year. 24th in the comp for tackles laid and is averaging a goal a game. What would the Bombers give up for him do you reckon? Stan...

Re: Essendon vs St Kilda Pre-Match Discussion

Do you think Riewoldt learnt a bit from playing on James Hird? In the early 00's I remember in quite a few games they played on each other. Since then Nick has always played well against us (and alot of teams). I've never heard him mention Hird, but I reckon the really good players learn their less...

Re: Teams Ess vs StK

I don't think anyone really means you have hacks in your side. You don't have many superstars but alot of players that work very hard and stick to a game plan. Like the Bulldogs you've always had a good run with the umpires if you can't see that you are as blind as they are. Of course that isn't th...

Re: Teams Ess vs StK

I am still confident. Yes they have played some good footy this year but I tell you what I dont rate a lot of their players. The reason why they have been so well is their ability to stick to the game plan but game plans can be undone. We are capable of undoing that game plan as seen in the previou...

Re: Essendon vs St Kilda Pre-Match Discussion

Well, this has to be the year for you guys. Anything else would be catastrophic. If it all pans out as expected, Ross Lyon would go down as another recent coach to have success while he didn't experience any during his playing days. And that's fine by me, because I don't subscribe to the theory tha...

Re: Essendon vs St Kilda Pre-Match Discussion

I absolutely hate Geelong ATM, but I think I would rather they win that St Kilda. Some of my reasons: My dad "barracks" for St Kilda. So many other people "have a soft spot for them" because they've been shit. f*** off. It's their own fault they've been so shit for so lon...

Re: Essendon vs St Kilda Pre-Match Discussion

with the exception of Carlton and Collingwood, doesn't matter who you support as long as your capable of having a decent conversation about footy, then it's ok. and i left Port supporters out because well it's just understood that they don't have any decent supporters... good luck mate, Saints are ...

Re: Essendon vs St Kilda Pre-Match Discussion

Welcome back Mr Saint and congratulations to your team for an amazing year thus far. I was just wondering whether you guys are happy to keep on winning or do you think a loss may be in order to just ensure the hunger remains. Personally, I reckon the best thing that happened to the Dons in 2000 was...

Re: Essendon vs St Kilda Pre-Match Discussion

G'day Bomber fans. I can understand your pessimism. We have owned pessimism in the past. Us Saints fans are daring to dream but are just trying to keep it to one week at a time. Don't think all of last weeks outs will come back in and they may choose to rest players like McQualter and Jones. After ...
