I think he is worth perservering with. We have seen glimpses of what he has but it is totally mystifying that what it was has gone missing. Big blokes who are co ordinated are few and far between, and this guy can take a mark and kick a good goal. Maybe its just confidence. However, agree with other...

Consider our collective thoughts 4 weeks ago. To see such a positive thread is fantastic. I would settle for 9-10 wins to be measured against results of the last 2 years. I dare not think of the finals at this stage. 9-10 will guarantee Sheedy stays for another 2 years to see where can take this gro...

The Cretins at SCG would appear to rival the S.A. ferals at Moron Park for the booing during the presentation of the Marrn Groot trophy (is that right?)

They got beaten at their own game and the thickness of their own goal posts!!!

Wasn't that just fantastic!!

Foot skills have been fantastic over the last 3 weeks also. Can't recall any major turnovers during that time.
Someone deserves credit from our much maligned coaching/skills staff due to Watto's vastly improved kicking skills.

Who would it have been??

Not quite as brave.

Took $3.50 for $50 and 39 points plus at $14 x $5. The 2nd bet was certainly optimistic, but agree with Filth that $3.50 in a two horse race is too tempting to overlook.

Rather like the $3.20 Head to Head being offered for us to beat Sydney.

Just pray to God it doesn't rain

Some of the kicking last nights leads me to believe that there is something different about the night ball. When you see guys like Hird, Michael and Stanton kicking helicopters and shanks, it begs the question is the night ball different in its makeup. Does, for instance, the difference in colour me...

Hille's stats were great. 25 hitouts to Richmond's 9 in total (And 4 to Paddy)

I thought his last quarter set it up for us.

Still too much fumbling at the centre breaks esp. when Hille gives us the advantage

At the very beginning of the season, did anybody realistically believe we would make the finals?? Then we come out and beat Adelaide, St.Kilda and Freo and I am as guilty as anyone in getting pumped up that we could make it. After a Bex and a good lie down, I believe that 9/10 wins would be a good r...

Re: Biggest Hit

Following on from the priceless "Melee" thread, what is the biggest hit (not shirtfront or bump) you have ever seen involving Essendon. I witnessed first hand the "Windy Hill Brawl 1974" at close range at the biggest punch I have ever seen was in fact thrown by Richmond official...

There were times when the Lions had at least 2 players watching him and trying to shepherd him away from the ball carrier. Never seen anything like it before. Plus his "don't argue" was sensational.

I reckon Hille got so pissed off watching his midfielders fumble the ball on Saturday from the centre bounces, he started to grab the ball and clear it himself.

If we can overcome the fumbling and therefore get the centre bounce clearances to an open forward line it will make a ton of difference

Just consider the loss of prestige, status and clout if both Hird and Sheedy departed in the same year. Hird is simply a superstar and eagerly sought after for comments which gives him ample opportunity to pump up the club. Sheeds is simply the best promoter this club or the AFL will ever see and ha...

So how do you explain away three pathetic losses in a row? Great to win but I am sceptical I am afraid 4 wins...4 losses. Is the cup half full or half empty? Using last year, (and not YR2000) as a benchmark, I would suggest the cup is more than half full. Anyone who did not derive a great deal of p...
