Re: GOODBYE AUSTRALIA!!!

I believe Albo is the only one that effectively appeal to those that they need to change their vote. Bowen is the architect of the economic agenda that made Labor such a big target. He will be sullied forever with "If you don't like it. Don't vote Labor". When I heard him say that on the radio I wa...

JADYN HUNT WAS CAUGHT COLD WITH ONE OF THE BEST GAME SAVING TACKLES OF ALL TIME. UMPIRE CALLS PLAY ON IN A DECISION THAT GOES DOWN, IN MY 50 YEARS WATCHING FOOTBALL, ...

OUT: T. Bellchambers, K. Langford, D. Zaharakis, M. Baguley IN: S. Draper, O. Fantasia, T. Mynott, J. Begley Out: Tbell, Baguley, oh whoever... In: Draper, Fantasia, Mynott and Ham (played decently in VFL). Likely to only get one newbie starting though. We know that Myers will slot straight back in...

Benevolent Bombers versus Bloods

We have all been here before. Beaten convincingly by teams above us on the ladder we now face a season maker/breaker by a team who are just a shadow of their former self. Will we see the re-emergence of the Benevolent Bombers by giving Sydney a leg up and helping them kick start their 2019 campaign,...

Re: R7 Essendon v Geelong

I reckon that this is the best team we can put on the park given our list. No excuses tomorrow. We simply must play to our potential and win.

Re: Was waiting for this to be addressed.

What did you expect, after all. The AFL is answerable to no one and it would be wishful thinking that they would admit the shockers in the last quarter could have influenced the outcome.

Re: ANZAC Game Prematch

The AFL seems Hell bent on a whole heap of shitty diversions which detract from "The Game" We now have wall to wall advertising, totally using ground announcers, appalling entertainment and loud music and advertising between quarters when you are trying to discuss the game. "The Game" does not need ...

Thanks for that, Windy. I was at the ground as a 7 year old the day that Coleman received that fateful injury. I had been taken into the rooms prior to the game by my Grandfather who was an ex club secretary of the Dons. I was given a number 10 gurnsey by the great man and he signed it for me. If t...

Re: R4: Essendon Vs Lions

I think Francis is being managed. Struggled with a corkie last week didn’t he? Guelfi not surprising. With Francis and SMack out, Hooker and Brown we’re always going to be picked. Thought Langford might get a run, but like it or not, I’m not shocked Myers was picked...more expected than not unfortu...

Re: 2019 AFL Tribunal

If the AFL is cracking down on behind/off the play incidents and have got rid off jumper punches - they should stand firm no matter who it is or whether the person was hurt, hurt badly or just laughed it off. Otherwise its just a mess. Too much weight placed on the damage caused. If they want to ge...

Re: R4: Essendon Vs Lions

TEAM ANNOUNCED. IN - Hooker, Redman, Brown & Myers OUT - Mutch, McKernan, Francis & Guelfi Great to see Redman get a run. He was fantastic against the Lions last year and is a beautiful kick to position. Cannot understand dropping Francis. More to this than meets the eye. If Brown snags a couple of...

Re: Zac Clarke

Did a couple of good things against the Dees but most of the game looked like a duck out of water.

However, overall, his height was a bonus and help to nullify Gawn. Worth another chance.

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

Like all of us, now is a time to enjoy the win. But please, let’s not fool ourselves. They walked through our defence in the last qtr to kick 6 goals. On the other hand, we scored against their defence which was missing Lever and May...two premier defenders. There was a lot of good signs neverthele...

Re: R3 Essendon v Melbourne

Where the hell is Stewart as a high marking and leading forward.

He could do no worse than the muppets playing up there at present.

Mind you, we would have to do something radical like actually kicking in his general direction.

Re: R3 Essendon v Melbourne

The only out that Worsfold has discussed this week is Hird. Untrue. He also mentioned players who kick into the forward line when there wasn't an identified target. We identified a target. It was Tippa, the smallest bloke on the forward line. We still have not learned that it makes more sense to ki...

Re: R1 Essendon v Greater Western Sydney

FFS groins....!! What do these guys do in their spare time? And yes, was hoping for Stewart to show his old club up. Another tragedy I guess. Went OK in the JLT but have more faith in McKernan's abilty to shine when the chips are down. McKernan seemed to be a bit put out when dropped for JRT 2 and ...

Went to the game as I am living down at Point Lonsdale for a year. Saw the Rezzies really touch up Geelong and were just playing with them, especially at the end and especially Smack!! Then the Ones hit the field, and by comparison to Geelong, they looked like a bunch of midgets apart from JD. No he...

Re: The new rules.

New rules had little impact at Princess Park tonight. It was pretty much 36 players versus the ball. The only real difference I notice was the full back not having to do a kick to himself b fore playing on which has some merit. Do not know what all the fuss was about.
