No Snelling??
No mention in the initial match report.

With Hurley injured, Hooker sore, maybe Hartley and this bloke come into contention?
Brandon Zerk-Thatcher read the ball aptly in defence.
Like the idea of Hartley coming in for Hurls if need be

Re: R17 Votes v North Melbourne

5. Tippa 4. McKenna 3. Stringer 2. D Clarke (held one of the top 5 midfielders to just 15 touches - and had 13 tackles). 1.Gleeson Nods to Saad (massive last half) and Z Clarke (played OK [much better than anticipated] but got bigly outplayed by Goldy). Clarke bettered Goldstein in all key ares bar...

Re: R16. Essendon V Swans

We have won four of the last five and have crept into the eight. I don’t give a rat’s arse how we win as long as we keep winning. One of those wins was against a potential Grand Finalist. And don’t start me on “We only beat teams when they are without star players” We are missing All Australians and...

Re: R15 Essendon v GWS

As I trudged off to the "House of Mouse" last night, fully expecting a ritualistic belting, my mind went back to a game in, I think, 2009 when we came up against a rampant Geelong team after having been belted by the Hawks the previous week by over 70 points. We were at around 8 to 1 which blew out...

Re: VFL Essendon 2019

Absolute belting of Port!!

Francis may be in a bit of strife with a lovely right cross late in the last, but due to the fact that the recipient was not put on life support, it should be deemed "minimum contact"!!

Easy solution for Woosha here. Why not just swap the teams!!!

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

Our backs are good enough. Our midfield is good enough and would be dynamite IF they could all deliver like Merrett. We struggle kicking goals against the better teams. Daniher, Brown, Stewart...can Brown or Stewart provide something? We known Brown can and has and seems a good tall foil for Smack....

Re: West Coast v Essendon

Better make this a Hit and Run mission if we can, unless the Eagles are a No Show(not likely)and we get the 4 points for a Home Team Forfeit! The Eagles(and Dockers to a lesser extent)have really got the Shits about the Perth Stadium playing surface. Check it out on www.thewest.com.au Tensions Conti...

BTW as poor as Belly has been, I thought he was better against the dawks...

Maybe he just needs half a season to start warming up 🙄
He certainly pulled his figure out during the third, giving Zack a dream run. Couple of nice marks around the ground and a great goal.

More please!!

We could see Stringer, Shiel, Razzle and Brown all available versus the Dorks. Hard to imagine all 4 would get up, but we could do with a break.

Re: MND - Mighty Neale Daniher

An amazing man with amazing courage. Thought I’d throw it amongst our Essendon thread board as he was a champion of our club. My No.1 footy hero in 1981 after he sunk Carlton at Princess Park. Only to see him go down with a knee injury the following week. That was pretty much the end of his footy c...

CAKE OF SOAP

During the telecast of our game, BT and Higgins started a discussion re the ball used for night games and how slippery it is especially in wet conditions. Higgins likened it to a cake of soap and commented that the main problem was the paint used for plastering the ball with advertising, made even w...

Re: R11 Essendon v Carlton

Saw Carlton play the Saints for about two quarters. They really were dreadful. Lacked any cohesion on the forward line, unforgivable turnovers, poor decision making, and panic stations on almost every play. Sound familiar??? And once again we find ourselves in the situation that a game we should win...

I believe Albo is the only one that effectively appeal to those that they need to change their vote. Bowen is the architect of the economic agenda that made Labor such a big target. He will be sullied forever with "If you don't like it. Don't vote Labor". When I heard him say that on the radio I wa...
