Re: Who's The Skipper?

This could be my new favourite picture...

But I would to see him take the reigns in 2012.., after two years of captaincy from Mark McVeigh...

But that's just what I would like to see...don't think it would happen though...

Re: Like every Bomber my age.....

In my opinion, Lloyd knew he was well and truly off the boil...and that bump on Sewell was a statement to tell the boys to wake up and attack the ball....

Im sure he didn't have any malice in it...that being said...he will get the same result as Franklin. Which would seem fair.

Re: Watson in doubt.

Hmmmmm,

My gut feeling says he won't play. If we do get up over the Hawks without him, and he's 100% for either the Blues or the Crows, it will prove to be a very wise move.

Still we need him tomorrow, interesting to see how this plays out.

Re: Last hurrah for the great man?

I want 2010 to be his last season. He has so much to offer our young forwards, and if he relinquishes the burden of captaincy it will free him up to focus on doing what he does best, kicking goals. Yeah its true.., the body is slowing down for him, but I believe he will still provide great value nex...

Re: McPhee and McVeigh

Spike is out of form. But f****** hell he has been close our best player in the previous 2 seasons. Talk of trading him is insanity. We did lack leadership today and guys like Spike, Welsh and McPhee should've provided it. They are all good players and are in the age bracket we are desperately lack...

Re: Forwards this week

What about McPhee?... Yeah I like the sound of Hurley, Lloyd, and Neagle. I think McPhee should alternate with Hurley. If they switch him, McPhee goes where he came from. The crumbers is a good question?...Monfries of course, but there is no Davey. What other two do we throw down there?, I like the ...

Re: Paddy Ryder out for 3

Shattering news,

However, us being so close to finals (needing most likely only one more win) having Ryder and Dempsey back in the at that timeframe will give us a much needed boost.

The Fletcher news is positive though.

Hooker will have to come back in somehow now.

Lloyd has seen the best day of his career but he still has a bit more to give.

I reckon another two years he'll be ready to take on full time commentary duties (and I'd love to see a Bomber with 1000 goals on the CV).

I co-sign with this.

Re: anyone to come in for saints game?

True Rosso,

If they play Hooker solely as a back up ruck, I have no problems with that. Although I'd rather give Bellchambers a shot, just due to the size / hit-out factor.

We'll see...

Blokes like spike are a rare commodity.

He is hugely important to this club and the direction it's taking, probably one of the best footy articles i've read this season.

He's all heart and soul is that number 10.
