Justin Langer - new Australian Coach

If true, I think it’s a crap appointment.

However, I think the likes of Hilton Cartwright, Ashton Turner, Ashton Agar, Simon Mackin, Joel Paris and Jason Behrendorff will be rejoicing.

Although, I’d like to see Marcus Stoinis get a crack at it.

Sorry it took so long Ben.

Cody Leggett will be 22 in June.Missed last year with a Leg Fracture. We sorely missed his presence.
Probably missed his calling in the AFL. Although, Leon Baker the Premiership Maker started his VFL career at the age of 28!

Re: Perth Demons 2018

Got my Wish in more ways than one. We did take advantage of our opposition’s Injury Toll and we Took the Trifecta of League,Reserves and Colts. And one Mr Leggett spiralled another Torpedo 70 metres or so.That got marked by a Peel backman, but I can cop that if that sort of kicking puts the oppositi...

He’ll just say “what an appalling incident involving Conor McKenna last week. I call for all Essendon players to be muzzled as I want to ensure the safety of my players”

Re: SACK SMITH

I’d have a serious look at Dizzy Gillespie especially with the ashes in England next year. Has coached in England for a while and knows the conditions. I think the 12month ban for Smith is excessive. He should be able to play this Australian summer especially if he had limited knowledge of it. I’ve...

Re: SACK SMITH

To me, the punishments would be unjust if it was only ball tampering. However the fact that they were so blatantly caught out AND that they lied to all and sundry before the truth came out makes the punishments justified IMO. As for Boof, what little I heard indicates he may not have known about th...

Re: SACK SMITH

There still isn’t much blame being put on the coach. Surely the coach is meant to know everything that is going on and be punished even if they’ve didn’t... Haha, the James Hird rule? Can’t fell sorry for Smith as he put Bancroft in the firing line in the first media conference Yep, mustn’t ...

He’s overseeing the Last Test Match Ben,then stepping down.

That must have happened in the wee hours of your morning.
Yes, woke up to it. Wow!

Well, I guess Langer is the obvious choice now.

Re: SACK SMITH

Except Boof, unless he gets another go at it in 10 or so years. He’ll get a cushy job offer from someone.Lucky him! I feel for Smith a bit. Got sucked into this crap. But it’s his weak leadership that cost him. Should’ve knocked the idea right on the head, and given both Bancroft and Warner a spray f...

Re: SACK SMITH

Well, you'd have to think it's the last you'll see of ball-tampering - at least from an Australian. Hopefully? Yeah? I have no problems with most of the punishment. I can understand some of the argument against the length of the bans, but really, it was the most hideous looking thing ever on a cric...

Re: SACK SMITH

Latest; Boof not involved - apparently. I find this hard to believe considering what took place after cameras caught Bancroft out. But anyway... Warner, Smith and Bancroft all sent home and are facing severe sanctions from CA. Rightly so. Renshaw, Burns and Maxwell are the replacements. LOL at Glenn...

There is strong speculation JL will get the job. Now whether that speculation is National or just Wessstterrn Australia,...... It was speculation over here too. But it was mentioned that his 4 day record is poor. I also dislike his “I love my pets” style of selecting and promoting certain pl...

Unless JL takes over Lehman’s Position,Ben.

You find Bancroft gets a nice old leg up then.
I hope Punter gets the gig. If he wants it.

Re: SACK SMITH

The fallout from this is going to be huge. Guaranteed, Lehmann is gone tomorrow. I’d say Smith and Warner can kiss their leadership careers goodbye (and their immediate place in the team may be gone for some time), and Bancroft may lose his place in the side.
