Re: MRP
Wow, just watched it again on the AFL website. Davey should contest it and get off. Davey commited to the contest which he is allowed to do, it wasn't his fault Hannebery didn't see him coming. Your allowed to sheppard. Negligent at worst.

Monfries, Melksham or NLM?BenDoolan wrote:Yep, bring in the Reimdog for Freo. Time to execute the soft pretenders who have been running around in the seniors the past couple of weeks.

Re: Team setup
I think other clubs are starting to work our "team plan" or "setup" out. It probably hasn't helped that Crameri is semi injured. The swans flooded our forward line last night, most of the game was played in our forward 50. As soon as it rebounded out the Swans had an open forward...

Re: Team v Sydney
Ben, you have brought to light some really good arguements there. I'm starting to come around on the anti Monfries campaign but I'm not convinced Reimers is the right replacement for him yet. At this stage I'd prefer to have another look at Dell'Olio in the seniors or even bring back Colyer until Re...

Re: Team v Sydney
Riemers' papers are signed sealed and delivered. He won't be playing for Essendon next year and I doubt he will be picked up by another club. If we could trade him for anything that would be a great result for us. I don't know why everyone is so keen on him, when he did get his chance this year he ...

Re: Team v Sydney
If Reimers gets his hands on the ball with any surety and is clear, there's usually a score. He can kick them himself or he passes with uncanny accuracy. Unfortunately, the surety and in the clear bit isn't always there, and that's when he struggles.I don't see him as a defensive player at all, and...

Re: This night in 1996....
I was there. Sitting in the pocket at the small scoreboard end. It was bizarre. No one knew what was going on. If the game was going to continue. How long the lights were going to be off for. It was Bomber Thompson's last game. Who went to the conclusion of the game on the Tuesday? I was working in...

Re: Changes for Swans
What I would like to see: Out : Melksham - Doesn't get enough of it, poor disposal. Monfries - still playing for free kicks, doesn't win his own ball. NLM - gives away stupid free kicks, poor disposal. Pears - Not up to speed at the moment. In: Heppell, Hibberd, Dell'Olio, Hooker. What will probabl...

Wasn't that Maddern who did his ankle last weekend? Don't know how he has got up after that.

Re: Team v Sydney
Poor old Colyer, he's just the whipping boy of EFC. How can Melksham be getting a game ahead of him??? Can't believe he survived another week. Hopefully Melksham is the sub. It will probably be Myers though.

Re: Changes for Swans
Even if Jetta was cited he couldn't of been suspended. In the paper last week they said a repeat offender would cop a fine of $2000ish. I think he was fined $950 for a first offence against the tiges.

Re: Gold!!
Loved watching the VFL boys on the TV this arvo!!! I think this may have been our only televised game of the season... :x Put the highly rated Willy to the sword amidst losing players left right and centre to niggling injuries and hard hits. 1- David Hille- a bit rusty but was dominating the ruck c...

Re: Worst on ground..
Hurley, Crameri, Monfries, Jetta, Ryder.... these are blokes payed to kick goals. We won the inside 50's by 10 or 15, had the scoring oppertunities and missed a heap of easy set shots. These blokes might want to do an extra training session with a wet slippery ball in front of the sticks this week. ...

Re: Wow. Thats a great result
We have played the bottom 4 teams in the first 10 games You could probablly throw North into that lot as well and they nearly beat us. We lost to Collingwood and nearly got done by Richmond - West Coast were crippled by injury Our only truly impressive win was against Carlton and they chewed up a 6...

Windy_Hill you just continue to make yourself look stupid, this thread is just another example of that.
Gumbleton played really well today in the VFL, good on him. Doesn't mean he's going to be the superstar we all hoped he would be.

Re: Jason Laycock
What's all this talk of writing off Hille? Sure Bellchambers has gone past him this year and he's been injured but things can change quickly in footy(suspension, injuries, poor form). As long as he's willing to play on next year we should keep him on our list. We are 1/3 of the way into the season f...

Re: We could be in line to Grab a Number 2 Draft Pick
He has played about as many games as Winderlich in the last 2 years. It's not like he has been out of the system! I reckon talent is for ever and despite what some are saying, this guy gas talent. Rough and raw, but it's there. I shake my head in despair at your logic sometimes. For starters, Winde...
