Re: R1 Essendon V Port Adelaide Pre Game Discussion

Port will win because they are a better team, not because it's over there or because they have a good record against us. We rely too heavily on a few, and are at more of a development stage than Port. Disregard Port last year, Mark Williams left half of his team on the sidelines for the second half ...

Re: Mark Johnson retires

I just hope he gets a good post-career role somewhere, and to be honest, I hope Solly when eventually his time is up gets the same level of support by EFC supporters - because they all premiership players and loved the Club.

Turnover players in next 2 years

I don't know how many players you can let go in a year but I believe the following players need to be let go in the next 2 seasons: Laycock NLM Rama Johns Lee Dempsey Dyson Gumbleton (unlucky but another Johns) J Johnson Peverill (but give him another year) Are there any others - a part from the guy...

Peverill

Is it me or do you sit and watch a game and really commend the way Damien Peverill goes about his footy? Not flashy, doesn't have the most ability, but has a crack every week. To me, if you were to teach the young guys anything it would be by giving Peverill another year and telling them that's wher...

Re: Dean Solomon

Anyway i just wanted to stick up for a mate who only really cares about his mates and feels bad for what he did - but gets pidgeon holed. There have been EFC players who have been hardly innocent (eg. Long, Wallis) in recent times.

Re: Dean Solomon

Dear Bloggers, Fair dinkum - the guy where's his heart on his sleeve and he crossed the line on this occasion - no doubt - but if you knew him like I do you would understand he is very remorseful. Yes - Ling and Solly are mates (which makes him even more disappointed with his actions). But, for supp...

Re: Ben "Such Is Life" Cousins

That was the response the other side of my brain gave me but I guess hindsight is a sought after ability when taking such a punt. Who would benefit from his services then based on salary cap pressues because I assume you're saying that he has to go to a Club that has a nearby premiership window (ie....

Ben "Such Is Life" Cousins

Is it me or should we acquire Mr Cousins and help our young and slowly-developing midfield grow some experience?

I think he is worth the punt if his mind is right because he would seriously out-run half of our midfielf when he turns 40.

Thoughts?????????

Re: Team v Scum

Comparing this game with 2-3 years ago is ridiculous. MJ kicking six. Back then Carlton didn't have the midfield and they do now, they have young desperate kids looking to make a name and they have few 2nd or 3rd club hacks like they had then (eg. McGrath). Not to mention Lance Fitnall, Prendergast ...

Re: 75 dollars

I remember going to watch Brisbane vs Sydney at Telstra Stadium about 5 years ago (now ANZ) and it was $80 in a forward pocket back then. That one would have been a Prelim final I believe. Yeah, that's correct - were you there? I thought Sydney were gonna winner that night. Brisbane were playing on...

Re: 75 dollars

I remember going to watch Brisbane vs Sydney at Telstra Stadium about 5 years ago (now ANZ) and it was $80 in a forward pocket back then. Ridiculous especially when they don't sell out and it's in western sydney (battlers territory). I'd be keen to find out how much they would charge to go watch the...

Re: Michael must not play anymore

Again another defender which has been let down by our midfield. And, you hear about young players not having confidence, take Mal out and the average age of our team will be about 12.
