Re: McVeigh
I'm going to be clearly negative. Let's relate team selection this week against Geelong based on similar team selections by other club's when they've play Geelong. Now, I'm not saying we should tank or not play 110% attacking and committed footy - but, what I am referring to and hoping is that we ma...

Not a hard one there Scott - but, let's just pray for health and consistency...that's all we ask for.

I just want to wish one of our past-Premiership players all the best this week against Richmond - it is Solly's 200th - and a great effort for someone who suffered a career threatening knee injury and someone much maligned for being too hard at the contest and man on occasions. He did say sorry Ling...

Sorry - Winderlich is definitely in starting 18 - he has been super and deserves his spot - not by intention.

No excuses - they are bad for everyone. First in for the footy wins in my eyes despite the stupid holding the ball rule.
If we come with intensity and desire I will be happy irrespective of the result.

Re: R7 Essendon v Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium Match Thread
Get TD to run through half of them before the game in the name of 84/85. If you can't get respect and motivation from him then you shouldn't be playing the game. Just give it a go and play with free, but accountable spirit. Hawthorn will have notched up this game so run and work hard. They don't hav...

Andrew Lovett DOB = 11/11/1982 according to essendonfc.com.au
So he is actually 26 1/2!

Re: EFC v Hawthorn.
Some players don't work like that.
Pick him and tell him he has a few weeks to make a name for himself without fear or retribution.
But, highlight to him in a subtle kind of way that everyone's used-by-date expires!!!!!!!!!!

Short-term Pain for Long-term Gain
As difficult it is to think about - as well as considering the old theory regarding present versus future value - I think the loss of Lucas and Fletcher for a period will hold us in good stead in the long-term. I'm hoping it provides the youngsters with the impotetus to get out and have a go knowing...

No more wins for a while
We will be struggling to win a game for a few weeks IMO. Hawthorn Saints Richmond Geelong We missed a game against North and were terrible on the road against Port and Brisbane. It's hard to see us getting within 6 goals of 3 of those sides, and our recent form against Richmond is average. We could ...

Wet Weather Footy
Hey Guys, It is pi*sing down with rain here in Adelaide, so I'm thinking it might be wet for Saturday. I hope we are educated in the subject of wet weather footy. I would have thought Alan Richardson would be a guy who would have relished in these conditions, so, if so, I hope he passes on some good...

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
Put pressure on the midfield and I have no doubt we will win...the problem is it is raining here in Adelaide and I think that will suit their mud-runners to a tee while we try and handball and carry and chip kick.
Please don't make the fatal error in the wet and not adapt to the conditions!!!!!!!!!!!

It's like cricket - McPhee and Lucas can make 7 ducks in a row but if there is no one sitting in the stands that can make runs then they can't be dropped!!!
