I'm not sure too many clubs would line up for Cale Hooker. We are just 8th and he is not in our best 22.
Maybe we can trade him to the Suns for one of their kids they have to discard this year?

Re: What position do we finish in now?
work it out here: http://www.afl.com.au/bailey%20ladder%20predictor/tabid/13046/default.aspx comes down to the saints v north game imo. If the saints win, we play carlton at mcg, if north we play sydney in sydney. We really wanted saints to win today as we would have been likely to get the saints in...

Re: Crameri
Zaharakis was pathetic yesterday, wouldnt put his head over the footy, they need to get that out of his game. Howlett was average yesterday as well, I think either one of them should have come off. Crameri and Davey looked dangerous from where I sat, regardless of possession count. They both had a h...

Re: Prismall
I dont think he is in our best team...turns the footy over...puts his teammates under pressure. Being at the game today I thought he is the reason why they will be hunting a midfielder at the end of the season. I thought our defence was good but our midfield got absolutely smashed. I have a lot of t...

Re: Why us? McBurney & McLaren
I was there...the umpiring was atrocious...the biggest one I recall was the ball was kicked over the line on the full near the Swans goals in the 3rd quarter and the three umpires were not in a position to tell if it was a point or a goal, so then decided to throw it in giving the swans an opportuni...

Re: Melksham
Recovered well after a shaky start. He needs continuity before we can make a judgement call on his career. You really need to play a string of back to back games to learn the game at AFL level and to get the confidence to know you're good enough at that level. I think the biggest let down and underp...

Re: Team V Saints
Someone has to win the hard ball though because you cant just go all out attack - Jobe cant do it alone. I hope they play Howlett - I dont like this "in for one out the next" bs especially when we have buckleys of playing finals.

Id also be giving zaharakis a spell next week...missed goals...and nothing else meaningful to keep him in the team.

Re: Votes vs Collingwood
Votes based on the situation of our development:
Gumbleton
Hocking
Stanton
People may say Fletch but I thought he made some glaringly obvious mistakes earlier in our back half today - despite clearing well on occasions late in the game. I think it should be his last year with much sadness!

Re: Matthew the Salesman
Yeah agree. My main beef is that Knights refers to replicating the top sides by the way they play. Firstly, they more often than not play on by foot and their players know how to run to space (ie. Geelong). It is clear that he is coaching them to play on by linking handball, which the opposition rea...

Matthew the Salesman
Yeah - Matthew Knights - a lesson to other clubs - do not hire a coach (or pretend) who has had no success as a player. He has set this club back at least two years. Favourites - no game style to replicate to what he is trying to achieve - and clearly no decent communication. I dont know who's more ...

Re: Your Round One Team?
From what Knights said Howlett is good with his head over the pill (i.e. contested footy) so I assume he will come off the pine rotating through the middle and potentially changing up forward.
Based on that I would see him taking either Lonergan or Hocking's position in my team selected above.

With all the talk I reckon it's a disappointment if we don't get within 5-6 goals of Geelong.

Re: Your Round One Team?
We do not need 3 ruckmen against Geelong. FFS they have Mark Blake and then Ottens (if he isn't injured?). Against Geelong - you will need 2-3 extra midfielders than usual based on the maturity of their bodies and the amount of rotations we will need against their gun midfielders (and half forward f...
