I have a P.E assignment in which i have to find out about a sport that is not that well known in Turkey. I gave my cousin who lives in Australia a call and he said AFL is an alright sport, i typed in AFL on google and browsed through until I found this site. By the way, thanks for your help. you guy...

its not as easy as soccer to follow but its still pretty good, and its not as boring as soccer, at least your competition is exciting

i just watched the 2005 grand final between sydney and west coast and it looks pretty exciting and its easy to follow

would the AFL be interested in expanding their game into europe?

ive got a cousin who lives in australia and he told me about this game, i thought all you did was played rugby and cricket over there

right, so its a oval shape stadium, with a ball thats a little like a rugby ball, only smaller and there are 4 sticks at each ground but the objective is to kick it through the 2 middle ones

so, basically there are 16 teams, playing with a sort of rugby style ball and the objective is to kick the ball between 2 sticks at the end of the ground, which is rectangular

so its only an Australian sport?
