Let him have his run I say. Look how it has given Richo a new lease of life.

Re: Essendon v West Coast Pre Game Discussion
There is no bigger certainty than us winning this week. I am positive of this, given the results inthe corresponding match over recent years. We'll win by a goal in cliff hanger. I was going to go over for this one for that reason but have decided not to. Don't want to tempt fate. :) Anyone noticed ...

Re: LCD Vs Plasma
A few points IMHO: -LCD if you want gaming, apparently, and plasma for watching sport (well I think it is better) and movies; -Plasma have a better quality picture at wide angles; -Arguably better colour saturation on plasma, and the blacks are blacker on plasma; -Life span is about the same these d...

Why in the name of God does Paddy Ryder insist on standing a step behind his opponent? The ball is being deivered to Buddy lace up and Ryder doesn't stand a chance when he's starting a metre behind. And what's pissing me off even more is that almost every time I post I get this: "At least one ...

He's struggling to run. Bet he has a cracked rib, so he'll be out for a few weeks.Boyler_Room wrote:Fletcher could be injured. Copped a hard knock.
I don't know how we've balls that F50 entry up. Somehow we've niggled Lewis into giving away a reversal and Reimers lining up... goal!

Its starting to fall apart now. I just hope we can hang on before it becomes a big blowout. We've not come out to play after half-time and indecisiveness has taken over.

Re: What are we reading?
Just finished reading Underbelly. Fantastic book. Goes into a heap more detail than the TV series. Picked it up for $12 at Target as well. What is strange about this book is that, or at least my understanding is, the Underbelly series is baced on the book Leadbelly , but then we have this Underbell...

Re: Matthew Lloyd
At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, he's down on confidence, and I think that is a factor for his complete lack of balance at the monent, though he was always had the tendency to fall forrd as he's marking the ball, but now he's not holding them either. Also notice that his toes are often p...

I will be watching the game, as usual. In spite of everything that I say during and after the games, I'll keep coming back for more. Knowing that it could get ugly. As usual I'll just make sure that the remote isn't within reach to throw. And that there is sufficient alcohol on hand to numb the pain...

Re: Paddy
Paddy will be OK. Actually, he will be very OK for a long time to come. The dropsies are rife in the side at the moment. He'll overcome it, no doubt about that.
He sucks as a ruck though. Jumps a mile, but almost always too early and for what reason I don't know. A lack of practice I suspect.

What the f*** did they give them at half time? Other than a pretty good bollocking I'd say.

Re: This mob can get f*cked.
I can handle it if we aren't good enough, which we aren't, but this is pure shit. What the f*** is going on with our skill level. I understand that we're rebuilding but for FFS our skill level is so fundamentally flawed that we would struggle against a half-decent VFL side. For at least 2 years we h...

Re: Turning Back The Clock - The 1987 Catastrophe
You had to bring that game up!
I just sat and watched the game (on TV) in sheer disbelief. I don't think I was even swearing and cursing which is my usual MO during a belting. I was just stunned. And shattered. I am in fear of a repeat soon.

Re: Hypnotherapy
I once bummed a cigarette off a mate once "just for fun" when I was 18 and pissed at a party (funnily enough), and the feeling of my lungs being on fire with the very first puff deterred me from not only taking a second puff, but also from ever putting another one in my mouth again. Bloody...

Yeah I'm not sure how he was supposed to dispose of the pill between the time that he picked it up and when he was tackled. Sheesh.
