Re: R1 Essendon v Greater Western Sydney

Brown will definitely play forward, he was probably our best player up there in the 2 JLT games. I really don't know what they are thinking with Ambrose. He is a dreadful defender, a poor field kick and doesn't seem quick-minded enough to play at AFL level. On top of that in today's football you ne...

Re: Heppell asks for patience

Captains are picked by their peers. Our leadership group for 2019 is;

Heppell - captain
Merrett - vice captain
Daniher
Myers
Fantasia

Others need to lift their leadership qualities if they wish to enter into the group.

Re: Joe Daniher's Groin, Calf, Moustache, Little Pinky

Do I sense a lack of player / injury welfare creeping into the club? We used to get quite a lot of “training” injuries at Windy Hill before the decision to create the Tullamarine complex. Now we’re seeing it all over again...

She has been granted an appeal to the Supreme Court. If successful, the conviction may be quashed or she may be re-tried.

Re: WAFLW to Shake Up the WAFL Competition

I would have thought it was the other way around,Windy. To many supporters,Taylor is just a messenger boy for his masters at the WAFC and the AFL. Have you got a link to any statements he made about that? None of it was reported here I think grass. My relo over there would know though. He's the one ...

So now it's Joe Daniher's calf and the implications.....
Or is it really still a groin issue....being covered up? The cynic in me.
Oh damn, what??

Is he injured again? They just showed him on last nights news running at full tilt!

Re: Heppell asks for patience

Club calls for patience, fans call for urgency. What a surprise! I will say this though, the club can’t engage in the fluffy expectation articles one minute, then state “please be patient” the next. If your are not really in a position to challenge for a flag, then best you downplay your excitement ...

Re: Sue Neill-Fraser

Watched that docco. What was uncovered and discovered really shows how the system can turn on itself. Is they system really interested in getting decisions right, or is it about protecting the ‘process’ or the reputations of people within it? The interference by local police to stall / derail / sabo...

Re: Praccy Matches

What’s the go with Fix Footy replaying these Scratch Matches straight after the games have been played? Why not delve into a vast array of Night and/or Pre-Season matches that really had some meaning to them? There’s at least 30 or 35 years of material to work with.Who wants to watch the Dorkers an...

Re: Praccy Matches

I’m optimistic. Some excellent signs...but also some worrying ones. Some players appear to be “under the weather” - Merrett, JD and Hepps. Others were very good - Ridley, Saad, Hurley, Francis, McGrath, Tippa, and good ol’ Brown. I thought Langford was going alright. Some sloppy stuff, but was doing...

Re: Joe Daniher's Groin and the Implications

God I hope our injuries settle down from now on after what appears to be a bruising lead up. Heppel and Merret not fit for the first JLT, Hooker "hopefully to be fit" for the second, Stringer with groin tighness after slipping over, and Orazio with knock to the quad. Dea in a brace for 6 weeks....g...
