The Numbers Game
After a pretty notable clean-out of our senior list, it occurred to me that there are quite a few prestigious numbers up for grabs. Some of the vacants include: 1, 2, 6, 9, 10, 13, 14 and 20. Of these numbers, a few may well go to our new recruits from Thursday's draft but I wanted to see if anyone ...

Re: 2013 Fixture
I think its a tough draw and the road trips are all pretty demanding My early call (and this is subject to serious review in about 5 months) is this looks like a 12-13 win draw for us. I repeat, an early call that could change dramatically as we see how the form of both the Bombers and other teams ...

BJ Goddard
this man should be the main focus in the off-season Reasoning: - He would provide the class and precise foot skills our defense needs. Thinking of Hardingham and Hooker kicking out of our backline actually makes me shudder. - He slots into HBF, releasing Heppell as our outside mid. A midfield with W...

Re: The moment the game was lost
another moment no one mentioned was Jobe's shot at goal in the last after Dangerfield gave away a free for taking the ball out of the ruck. He kicks it, we're in front He missed and the ball traveled the length of the ground where Kenny Powers (Taylor Walker) was able to make us pay. Two goal turna...

Re: Essendon v Hawthorn (pre game discussion)
Pears in for Hooker (who has been poor the last few weeks) Hocking in for NLM Kav in for Melksham (when will this bloke get dropped seriously!) Maybe Winders in for Dell Whichever way you look at it it's going to take a massive effort to get close in this one... no Ryder + no Hurley = no chance imo ...

Re: Round 14 - Essendon v Footscray Pre-Match Discussion
winning interstate was a step towards "being taken seriously" in the words of David Myers, but to stake our claim as a contender we must also destroy teams like WB. it seems the ship is back on course after last week and confidence will be high.. its up to the guys to channel that confiden...

if there's one thing you can guarantee with Hurls it's his commitment to the contest... last night I heard a couple of old fogies behind me say "Hurley doesn't go hard enough, does he?" .... i wanted to turn around and give them a massive spray  surely enough, about a minute later he...

Re: Worst on ground..
Melksham for mine..
painfully slow, didn't use the ball the few times he had it... definitely the least productive out of all our mids
he was good against bris and wce but since then has been pretty average.. needs to regain confidence in the magoos
