Re: Tom Jok

Definitely a player we should see more of. I feel his kicking let him down and hurt us on the rebound which was due to nerves. Many times he got the hard ball only to quickly handball to a player 1m away when a clearing kick would have been preferred. With more poise and composure he could be anythi...

Re: R23 Essendon v Collingwood

Super impressed with the heart and determination tonight. In front of a massive crowd we threw our bodies on the line and had a crack. Every player can walk off with theirs heads held high. We forced Collingwood wide and really restricted easy access infront of goal. A real shame about Hurley. Franc...

Re: R23 Essendon v Collingwood

With a positive mindset. We only have to win our next 5 games. We’ve won 5 in a row earlier. Let’s go 1 better and aim for 6.
The time is up for trying out players. Get a consistent team playing for each other.

Re: R23 Essendon v Collingwood

I’m not privy to understand how sore our players are. I would prefer giving our managed players more game time to ensure they have a feel for the tempo after the break. Heppell especially didn’t return ready 2 weeks ago. Giving him 2 weeks break might make him closer to 100% fit but not match fit. I...

Re: Our ruck crisis...

I’d rather give Roughead from Hawthorn more time if he believes he still has more to offer.
If not up to AFL standard then still a great leader teaching the young ones. Can ruck and go up forward.
He has the heart & desire to will teams across the line

Re: Rnd 22. Essendon vs Fremantle

Really good attack on the football tonight. Forward line extremely functional, the run and carry from half back returned.

Stoked that we’re booked for finals. Let’s hope it’s in Victoria

I feel for Brisbane supporters

Was watching the telecast today between Brisbane & Geelong battle for top spot. One of the commentators was informing viewers that it’s been such a long wait for Brisbane fans since they were last in a grand final. That they’ve endured 15 long years and now their time is coming. Seriously? 15 long y...

Re: Rnd 22. Essendon vs Fremantle

It shouldn’t matter who’s bloody last game it is. If we’re good enough we’ll win. More than likely is the players believe they’re good enough but fail to execute collaboratively. I was there for Hirds last game in Melbourne when we lost to a bottom 8 Richmond I think. We couldn’t lift to win that ni...

Re: Fitness Staff

After listening to many ex football player podcasts on SEN “this is your sporting life”, it’s refreshing to hear the efforts and teamwork required to endure success in yesteryear. The fundamentals of football have not changed. I remember hearing a Collingwood trade scout talking about the qualities ...

Re: Fitness Staff

I am in no position to advise what the club should or shouldn’t do. - We’ve tried new coaches. - we’ve tried premiership coaches - we’ve tried fitness and assistant coaches from premiership teams - we’ve tried trading top picks for A grade players - we’ve benefited from father/son selections - we’ve...

Re: R21 Essendon v Western Bulldogs

Was I the only one secretly hoping we would be held to one goal? How f****** pathetic is that. Maybe it’s years of being completely betrayed by this club that some evil inner resentment came spilling out. Sadly yes I felt like anything more than 1 goal would not fairly assess our lack of intensity....

Probably no changes to the list who finished strongly in that last 3 minutes to keep momentum and high scoring consistency

Re: R21 Essendon v Western Bulldogs

That effort was completely unacceptable. Full credit to the doggies who were clinical. If they do make the finals I’d expect them to go a lot further than we would and possibly make the big dance against the tigers. We have to throw everything at Fremantle next week to resemble some sort of confiden...

Re: Essendon Rumour Mill

How do you balance risk on Harley?
1. Risk him breaking down at the bombers and taking ?? Chance away from a young draftee
2. Risk him going to another club, getting his mind and body right and starring against Essendon in a crucial match?

I’m a walk up tonight. Couldn’t reserve 2 members tickets together online so we’ll try our luck at the gate. Taking 2 of my sons of who doggies. So I’m hoping everybody is happy and it’s a draw

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

I’ve got a bad feeling for GC next week. They’re sitting ducks and our lot are hungry. Whilst I hope we win, I don’t want to see a thrashing - nobody deserves that. Agree with Windy_Hill; really strong coaching effort tonight. Every player knew their role. All looked at sea when 30 behind but he rol...

Re: R18 Essendon v Adelaide

Our last 2 games could have been heart wrenching loses as fans but we’d be just as proud of them either way. It’s a 180 degree backflip from the opening rounds such as the St. kilda loss. Confidence is an amazing thing. A strong VFL team has our gratitude in preparing our depth players to combine wi...

Spine tingling result. Right now we’re really spoiled as supporters. The effort and belief these guys have shown is incredible.

Re: R18 Essendon v Adelaide

We’re doing very well to keep in this match - last 2 goals were crucial. Outplayed in nearly all areas, the effort is there. Let’s hope the players can keep it together. Crows forwardline looking dangerous

Anyone know why McKernan’s goal was reviewed? Goal umpire called it a goal, so who called a review? Was totally confused yesterday.
I was listening to the match on radio, and they suggested the ball may have hit the top of the goal post
