Re: THE DROUGHT

Need to make finals, need to win a final, and sometimes it's losing the biggest final. Winning a flag with no prior winning finals experience is the stuff of fairytales and has already been done by Richmond 2 years back. I'll be stoked if we can win Anzac day, both Carlton & Collingwood games, and a...

Re: Ess Vs Reichmond

I’m really proud of the effort and attitude tonight. We did everything in our capacity to win tonight. That’s all we can ask for. Richmond are a bloody disciplined team and did enough to get over the line. Thanks Dimma! We won most of the important stats and had heavily biased umpiring our way. We b...

Re: R17 ESSENDON v Gold Coast Nuns

Listening to radio, we’re very lucky Gold Coast can’t kick straight. 4.11 to half time is woeful.
Need to have an enormous 3rd quarter and get some much needed percentage.
I’m hearing a lot of unpaid frees yet again

Re: R16 ESSENDON v the filth.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such one sided umpiring. It was completely laughable today at our expense. Many times the players stood still guessing which way the free kick is going to. By the 2nd quarter our boys didn’t even bother guessing. I don’t think I’ve been more mad due to the umpir...

Re: R15 ESSENDON v North Melbourne

We might only be 1 win and % away from the top eight, we're now beating many sides above us which is fantastic. If we can stop Collingwood's next week, we have a genuine chance to catch them in 4 weeks time. Have to go all out next week. You can really see the belief of this team playing for each ot...

Re: R14 ESSENDON v West Coast Measles

Absolutely rapt to see such intensity and conviction in the first half. Eagles changed gameplan after half time and we looked tired after blistering start. We had to slow the tempo down. I’m not fussed about the %. I’m don’t like kicking teams when they’re down, unless it Bris,Coll,Carl,hawks,geel,s...

Top stuff. Let’s hope they’re made accountable. The players and club haven’t had much luck in the courts. Great to see someone finding a way

Re: R11 ESSENDON v Richmond

Had a few too many beers. Watched from the Bunton from 1/2 time. Perspective skewed. I really thought the guys had a crack since last I saw them on Anzac Day. Richmond are the real deal. Ran through the corridor and scored with ease. Poor goal kicking early but just shown how to play elite football ...

Re: OK...WHATS CHANGED?

The young kids are really having a crack. Great to see. I’d like to see Clarke in there still. Bellchambers looks to be enjoying his footy. Heppell & Merrett getting space & time. Is this due to more protection around the ball carrier? Stringer really finding his feet, an open forward line giving hi...

Why beating 11th last week turned the corner

I've been keeping a list of Essendon's lost games this year as it just seemed to go from bad to worse. However this weeks win against Greater Western Sydney proves we can beat the teams on the lower end of the ladder, and could really springboard our season. Our round 12 match against the Brisbane B...

Just needs to get back to the basics.
Back each other, trust your instincts, and man up in defence.

Throw the gameplan out - it's not working.

Re: Dees rd 6

Really dissapointing today. Only glanced the scoreboard during 5 minutes on the phone. Thought we might fire up at half time and have a good 3rd quarter which went in reverse. In the end I was barracking for JD & co. to kick as many behinds as possible just to show how to play perfect conditions ind...

Re: R5 ESSENDON v Collingwood (Anzac Day)

I really enjoy the fire that Goddard brings. He’s at the point if his career where he’s seen too much complacency and demands results, or just gave a fair dinkum crack - as does every Bombers supporter at the ground. Goddard not perfect by any stretch but he knows the discipline required to win as a...

The only positive from today is that Collingwood are likely to retain Nathan Buckley’s services until at least the end of the season.

Was super to be back at the footy. To witness a come from behind win was a great end to the night.

I’d love to see the momentum keep going, everyone had a real crack and some absolute quality coming through.

Re: 2018 Pre - Season

Whilst I expected us to be better than that, Richmond could be on track to have an enormous year. They didn’t win the flag by luck. They were the best team over the past 15 weeks of the ‘17 season inc finals. If they continue to be consistent in ‘18 with even more confidence, it’s going to be an ext...

I couldn't have been happier with the result. The filth fans are so annoying. Was great to sing the song.
Melbourne only have 1 extra days rest than us next week, without a ruck division.

Very very happy right now

Re: Essendon v Collingwood (Anzac Day)

Saying this is a must-win game is an understatement. If we throw this golden opportunity away, we might as well blood the kids after this.
Buckley's bogans have beaten us for as long as I can remember. Ten day break, absolutely no excuses to get our season back on track.

Re: Round 1 - Essendon v Whorethorn

They all gave it everything in the end. Stantons smother brilliant. Bruests goal after the siren is a rare day that the football gods were looking down on us. A win for the ages.
