Alas Filth, the electorate has pathetically short memories. I think it's going to comedown to who can land the last blow prior to the election that will decide it. Personally, I'm checking out house prices in NZ ... just in case... Can't stand the way they talk over there but at least they know thei...

I've said this before and now I'm going to say it again...Labor has got it's timing all wrong AGAIN. Rudd's honeymoon will be well and truly over (it's over already) by the time the election comes around. The ALP should have done what they did with Hawkey, swung Rudd in with about a month to go befo...

Did you see 4 Corners last night. Briefly, it was a story about how the same so called nay-say experts that spoke for the tobacco industry refuting smoking's links to cancer are now being used by the fossil fuel giants to rubbish the global warming experts like Al Gore et al. One of the points raise...

The Breaker and David Hicks

Just watched Breaker Morant again on the History Channel. One of the best movies ever made, anywhere, IMHO. I hadn't seen it for many years but on watching it again I found myself drawing paralels with the David Hicks case and could not really escape the conclusion that, as a nation, in some respect...

I said this last season and I still stand by it, even more so now...I reckon you can put most of his problems down to the coach. As sure as the day is long, so help me Christ Sheedy has destroyed this kid. Persistently and pig headedly playing him on all the biggest monsters in the AFL like Brown an...

I'm no Walls apologist...far from it but I actually though he was remarkably lenient with us with his after match comments. He could and probably should have got stuck into us over what was a pathetic performance. He could have said how Sheedy has been talking the talk but not walking the walk. In s...

Got the Number 2 draft pick (where is he by the way?) Blah, Blah Blah!!. What happens?... beaten by the hopeless rabble wooden spooners that...

Death of a President

Just saw this film reviewed on 'At the Movies' with David and Margaret...Very interesting concept. Set in the near future it is a story about the assassination of George W. with Cheney taking over as Pres. and how broadly speaking the Patriot Act is given even more teeth. All of which is apparently ...

Very much afraid you would be proven right on that score Sismis. I'm afraid this country's obsession with America stretches across all political divides...look at Hawkey, couldn't get into Gulf war 1 quick enough. I know the circumstances were different back then as that war was at least sanctioned ...

Yes, Filth, Very magnanamous of them. Of course, as the Age article said, they don't want to run the risk of their You-beut one falling into the wrong hands...what does that tell you about what they really think of us. What do you reckon would be the chances that Lockheed have lost a packet on the d...

Just to diverge the subject a bit, what do you reckon was our best ever half back line...I'll nominate (and am old enough to well remember) Epis, Shelton and Davis Actually, when you look at those 3, they were all very attacking players in their own right, so maybe it shoots a few holes in my origin...

Either that or as former Director of (and probably still with massive interest in) Lockheed Martin, the new tricky Dicky will be extolling the virtues of their Dud Lockheed JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) (See article in todays Age) that they want us to buy.

All levity aside, can anyone tell me just what is the purpose of Cheney's upcoming visit, what is on the agenda in his meeting with the Rodent? or maybe we should be querying what is on the 'Hidden' agenda....Gees I'd love to be fly on the wall when these two get together.

Thankfully only 1 more year Filth. March 2008, the date the Rodent quoted as being the date Al Quaida will circle and pray for a Democrat victory....It's funny... make that pathetic, but the Rodent is echoeing the exact same argument Bush was putting forward before the Mid Term elections(surprise, s...

Our Half Back Line

I see in a lot of the 'best possible' line-ups posted so far that most have and are drooling over the possible half back line of McPhee, Fletcher and NLM. Well, I have to agree it looks good on paper but IMO there's a very big weakness in it...None of those 3 are close checking type players, they al...
