Thks for that windy. Some good news. I was skeptical at first when I heard sheeds talking up Johns early on before he had even played a game of AFL footy. Sheeds has done this before with players. But after the first few games I saw of him I could definitely see the potential. He has what it takes, ...

Pev aint a defender. we have some good small/midsized defenders that could have easily matched up on stevo, rather than Pev who was doing great in the midfield. McVeigh, Slattery, or even McPhee or MJ. But not Pev. If Sheeds wanted Pev still to tag he should have put him on Murphy. Easy missed goals...

Those c**** only bring their A game against us because we let them. And lets face it, our A game is better than their A game, period.

Too many passengers

Too many passengers when Carlton made their run. Only McVeigh and Hird really stepped up. Carlton had nimbers to the ball constantly. I cant help but think we lost due to them wanting it more than us. Jimmy and McVeigh were desperate, I cant say the same for everyone else. Everyone looked good in th...

HEADLINE: PIGNALL PLAYS RUCK AND BEATS DONS

HEADLINE: PIGNALL PLAYS RUCK AND BEATS DONS How the hell is Lance Fatnall going to play ruck and we get smashed at clearances? Is our on ball division that shithouse? If someone told me before the game that Pignall would play in the ruck I would LMAO and be SURE of walking away with the win  O...

48 pts?!

No excuses like other clowns on here make. To be up by 48pts, then to lose to Carlton of all teams(1 of the worst teams in the comp) is just a truely pathetic, insipid perfermance to say the least. Hang your heads in shame Essendon, that second half was disgraceful. PS. WIN A f****** CENTRE CLEARANC...

Thighs on Fev Fletcher on Witnall Ryder on Waite If we shut down Stevens, we will give them a raping. Probably rotate Heff/Pev/Slatts on him. Good match ups...they seem the likely choices all round. But I dont think Fatnall will line up at forward. But I hope he does. Fletch can run off him all day.

Bolton? Thats the only other player I can think of who could play that role.
Thats what I was thinking too. But I dont want Bolton in the team.

I have no problem with Dyson at all. But Welsh was playing as a defensive forward. And was playing a little as a defensive midfielder too.

Maybe Welsh's replacement should be in a similar mould?

Plus Dyson is another smaller player. We have alot of them playing at the moment.

Just a thought...

I still remember a season or 2 ago we were up against Carlton by 30 pts at the start of the 4th and lost the game by 4pts. :(

But I dont think this Essendon outfit will lose to Carlton this week. This team is not taking anything for granted.

Expect the Dons to come out all guns blazing next week.

Who you would expect to come in when fit?

There would be a few players that you would expect to force their way into the team when fit and in form. JJ & Campo I think JJ and Campo when fit will be in the best 22. At whose expense? I dont know, but JJ did come into some good form late last year and still has some good footy left in him. ...

Well said.

Fletch racking up possessions like he did on the weekend will be a regular thing. Teams will prolly try and get Fletchs oppenent to drag him back to the goal square.

Big Mal should only get better with each game.

Watson

I love the guy, but he really needs to learn how to kick. He is not only hurting himself but the team. He has absolutely 0 confidence in his disposal, which is sad to see from such a talented player.

How can he rectify this ASAP?

Have you actually seen him play yourself??
Of course I have, other wise I would not have commented. One of my good friends is a Demons supporter, he is always coming round to watch games. I have probably seen more demons games than anyone on this message board.
