Re: Thai Cave Rescue

I was talking about it with someone today. They may have entered the cave and travelled not that far in when they were then trapped by the water. They may have then ventured much further looking for another way out. Going 4 km down a cave system does seem really extreme thing to. I reckon they never...

RONKE!!!!!

CALDER Cannons talent manager Ian Kyte says he expects dynamic on-baller Ben Ronke to become an Essendon player if he remains available as a rookie selection at November’s draft. Ronke, the favourite to win Calder’s best-and-fairest award, was one of six multicultural or indigenous players nominate...

Re: SACK SMITH

It's as bad a day in Australian cricket that I can ever remember. Almost as bad as the actual cheating was the train wreck of press conference from Smith and Bancroft. Smith initially get asks did he want to explain what had gone on out on the ground and immediately turns to Bancroft and says 'do yo...

If we could get any 3 of these 5 I would be happy. I think Stringer is a lock now he has nominated us.

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

Well congratulations to Richmond. I must say though what a pathetic performance by the Crows players and coaches. They were getting well and truly towelled up and to not see anything in terms of moves from the coaches box was mightily disappointing. Doesnt this win also emphasise the point that our ...

Re: Un and Trump - Two Prize ********

It really is time for all the President's men to do something like overthrow him because he really is unhinged. As if Kim Jong-un needs any provocation. Our worst nightmare could be realised - an unstable Trump with his little fingers on the nuclear trigger. We all have seen his lack of self control...

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

The AFL has given Cotchin Ellis et al a licence to take out their opponents by bashing into their skulls. Go Crows!!! We actually played pretty well in patches against them but their precise ball movement and running tore us to shreds. I would so handle it more if the Crows win. f*** Richmond and th...

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

Yes it was. I am trying work what year. As I recall we came from behind. It could well have been Sat 08-Jul-1978 Round 14. We definitely came from behind that day to win by 7 points . I was 15 and on my way back to Essendon station and a random young Essendon supporting lad just decided to kiss me o...

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

Typical. Any other game, any other player would be gone. Please dont talk to me about it was two players going for the ball. He has turned himself into a sniping cnt and has illegally taken out and hit players all year and got away with it. I could live with that if other including our own Zac Merre...

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

I wasnt there that day but did make the long trek from Elsternwick to Essendon on numerous occasions around that with some neighbourhood friends who had use of someone they knew's car space need Windy Hill. I also used to get away with half fare on the train and ground entry soon after that. It cost...

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

To be honest I am jealous. I think if we hadnt dropped off in latter half of the season, our best footy this year + luck could have seen us there.

The other thing is if we ever make it, do you think all the supporters from other Vic clubs will be barracking for us ? I think not.

Re: Adelaide v Richmond Grand Final

I am old enough to remember the late 60s and early 70s, albeit as a youngster, when Richmond dominated, so I really dont want The Tiger unleashed. Everyone sees tiger fans as long suffering almost cuddly duffers. If they win the flag they will transform themselves to Collingwood like rabid lunatics....

Re: WHAT IS THIS YES/NO VOTE ABOUT?

Apart from the blatantly obvious reason that a gay couple be allowed to exercise the same right to get married as the straight population, there these following reasons to vote YES; Tony Abbott, Eric Abetz, Kevin Andrews, Pauline Hanson, Cori Bernardi, Scott Morrison, Cardinal George Pell and Archbi...

Settle down sarcastic one. If he comes back it would on the minimum footy wage I'd imagine.

It just didnt work out for him there. If he could recapture his best then he could be of value.

Re: WHAT IS THIS YES/NO VOTE ABOUT?

How is the way the No campaign refuse actually argue anything about the question at hand? They mention complete furphies like the Safe Schools program and religious freedom. I cant imagine the majority of those voting will be hoodwinked by the out and out lies by the likes of the ' concerned' mothe...

Re: Crameri maybe back?

I always hated the fact that we lost him. I think he was a victim of injury and the machinations of the selection process at the Bulldogs whenever he was right.

I'd welcome him back. He had class and acres of pace. I hope he still has that.

Kneelong

Anyone have any thoughts on what appeared to be a deliberate tactic of Geelong players to go about kneeing their GWS opponents at full force in marking completions throughout yesterday's game? I thought it looked to be a dirty and underhanded ploy to take out the best Giants players but what else wo...
