Re: 2018 AFL Finals Series

What impressed me was how they kept composed even though the way Collingwood started. Also a special mention to Will Schofield. He was enormous many times during the game. I recall he started way behind a Collingwood forward running into an open goal and ran him down. It was amazing the amount of po...

Re: 2018 AFL Finals Series

Well The Eaglea did it in a truly epic grand final. For all you Filth hater like me it was the perfect storm in terms of losing one.

I am counting on the fact that when they won in 92 we won the next flag in 93.

I am confident we can make 2019 a premiership year.

Re: 2018 AFL Finals Series

Go the Coasters. We cant let the filth get to 16 flags. My devious Bomber fan is coming to fruition.... 1) Have Collingwood beat Whingemond to shut them up for the next 38 years 2) Lull The Filth into a false sense of superiority and cockiness which will work to stuff them up on Saturday 3) Have WCE...

Re: Brownlow Count 2018

It appears the Brownlow has gradually been degenerated into a contest where umpires just vote for popular mid fielders that the media has deemed worthy of a Brownlow. Ablett getting 14 - what a f-cking joke. The guys plays bruise free unaccountable football for the last 2 seasons and keeps racking u...

Re: Preliminary Finals of Auld Lang Syne

Yes we were brilliant in so much the Sheedy era. The powerhouse side in the mid 80s should have three peated but injuries cruelled us. We also lost some heart and soul when we traded Carey and Bradnury for Raines and Richardson. The Adelaide comeback final was awesome as was that entire year from th...

Re: SEE YA BRENDAN

As much as I detested his on field antics, I feel very sorry that his decision to come to Essendon,to achieve the ultimate success, coincided with the drugs saga. He was close to being at the peak of his powers when he came to Bomberland and I cant help but think that period cheated him of his ultim...

Re: Francis

The retention of Francis at Essendon has to be one of the top priorities of next year. From his highlight reel from Friday alone, he must be retained.

Re: Ess Vs Reichmond

Goddard should not have played. He personally cost us 3 goals then having stuffed up himself started the pointing. I don't want to say he should retire if he was going in injured but last night was not one of his finest efforts. Ridley, Daniher McKernan and Fantasia would have made a huge difference...

Re: Season Gone - Time to Look Forward

We have played very well since that cataclysmic loss to Carlton. That loss could be the difference in us making the 8. You could say the sane about losing to the Dogs and Freo. I am worried about the accumulating injury toll if we do happen do scrape in. We definitely dont want a repeat of last year...

Re: R21 ESSENDON v Sinners

I simply dont get why Heppell played last week with an injured groin. How the hell can it get any better when he has been playing with injury for over 3 weeks. It seems to have worsened considerably last week. Give him a fortnight rest, same with Stringer and put in a fit team. I think it cost us bi...

Re: Ess vs the Piss and Poos

I maintain that Francis should br played forward as a marking option. With Hurley and Hooker down back I dont think you can have him there as well. He is a good mark and a beautiful kick. Without Mckernan I think that should have been done. Why the hell wasnt there a hard tag placed on Michell. That...

Re: Essendon vs Sydley

McNiece WAS better last week than the previous 3 weeks. He has a good run but you would have to have McKenna in ahead of him. Very happy to see Aaron Francis in and Colyer out. In fairness to Colyer, he has been coming back from a lengthy injury so he could not get anywhere near his best. Neverthele...

Re: McNeice, Long & Colyer

Yes I know know McNiece came in two weeks ago but it wasn't for Ambrose it was for Dea. Ambrose was injured in the Collingwood game. Dea came in for Ambrose last week. They fill a similar role but only one of them does it properly and I just get this overall impression that Dea fits in better with t...
