Re: Slatts

Nomolos,

not ONE bomber player keep up with their opponents in the midfield, all their midfielders had 30 or more possessions.

Slats wasn't the only one that had a shocker. How we forget how good he was last year

Re: Slatts

Do you guys actually watch him and what he does when he is not in a position to get the ball? The work he does off the ball?? What he is instructed to do by the coaching staff?? He is the most unselfish bloke in the team, he sacrifices his ball getting ability to do what he is instructed to do...one...

Re: Slatts

the key word being learn,

how long did it take ling, kirk, cornes to get it right as taggers that are also damaging. Remember he is still under 24, let him learn the craft first.

Re: Slatts

Being very harsh, With the exception of Ryder, no body beat their opponent, not to mention that is his first bad game for a long time. (How we forget how is destroyed Kerr) Slatts isn't in the team to get a shit load of possessions, he is there to provide support for his team-mates and try and restr...

Re: 1st Quarter

Cheers Megan,

Big learning curve. Hopefully it doesn't destroy the young kids. Hope they continue to have the courage to attack and run.

Goal Kicking practice this week then, and marking, and rucking...

1st Quarter

Being in SA and only getting a replay of the game, Just finished watching the 1st quarter. We threw everything we had against them, but they were just too big and strong. Most other teams we would have been 6 goals up on with pressure on the ball ad body, but Geelong were too big and strong. BUT we ...

yea u do, u ever tried kicking a footy when your completely stuffed, or tackle someone, or mark the ball. The simplier things become harder when you are stuffed, stamina is a very important part of football. You need to play four quarters of football. The amount of running done by footballers today ...

Yea it wasn't one of our best performances, but i believe some of the guys out there were trying to hard to win and forgot to play football. They were so consumed with winning, that when something went wrong, their confidence dropped and so did their heads. Big games like that are handled differentl...

I thought he was exceptional last night. He found a way out of stoppage on numerous times with his pace and side stepping. Very much like Michael Long. Disposal was pretty bad..but can be worked one. Will be a superstar if he gets his body right. I thought Llyod, Lovett, Lovett-Murray played very we...

Stanton

Prolific ball getter, think he runs hard when we have the ball and is key member of our mid field but,

unsure about his defensive efforts, rarely chases, mans up or tackles

Just my observation

Long Term Success is paramount.. agree with some, disagree with others N. Lovett Murray: Thought he was great last night. J Watson: Superstar, don't need to be quick to get the ball, just need to know where to go and this boy does. He is essential to our future success J Johnson: Trade? D Peverill: ...

I am very disappointed in the game last night,. It seemed, to me, some blokes were just trying too hard and it wasn't happening for them, they got frustrated and dropped their heads. Let's not forget what the game was about. Two of the most influential and greastest blokes this footy club has seen a...
