Can anyone confirm this:
Channel 7 during the broadcast said that after Pears went for his runs down the field and Fev didn't chase, Slatts turned around and gave Fev an almighty mouthing off...more than once?
If correct....gold

Re: Tell you what
Slattery is rubbish!!!! Your a twit.... The ball has not left Geelongs forward line, and you need to be superman to stop them by yourself. On top of that, Stevie J is a confidence player, once he gets on top, he is almost impossible to stop...Hocking started on him, got towled up, Stevie's confidenc...

Re: Tough
Agree with your comments BD but it is quite scary when the lightest bloke at the club, happens to be one of the toughest. You don't need to be solid to tough..just hit the ball as hard as you can, don't take a backward step...then the respect will come back..the physical stuff will come as the lads ...

Just a question, want to get people's thoughts.... are we tough enough? there was a time when playing essendon meant pain...meant u were playing a side that enjoyed gettng physical (legally), i know the rules of the game make this harder, but it seems that we get pushed aside easily...we don't like ...

Re: Gumbleton is a disgrace
The argument will be that every kid that has been recruited is still growing in spurts, yet they are on the paddock playing games for their respective clubs. Think Jack Riewoldt, think Andrejs Everitt, think Nathan Brown, think Matthew Leuenberger.....all from the 2006 draft. How many of those are ...

Gumbleton is having growing pains. His hammies are struggling to keep up.
How tall was he when he was recruited, and how tall is he now?

Re: Maggots one and all....
maybe the AFL should adapt Law 43 from the Cricket Rules:
there are only 42 Laws of Cricket as administered by the MCC.
Law 43 is an unwritten and unofficial law that basically allows the umpires to apply common sense.

Firstly,
Franklin wasn't getting injured every time he stepped onto the ground, Gumby was.
The club thinks it will help him in the future. Which can only be good thing

if we are serious about getting Daniel Kerr and the Eagles play hard ball, i wouldn't be to upset if we traded Lovett and NLM for him. Lovett is being traded anyway (according to everyone) and NLM shits me. We probably lose a bit, but we gain Kerr, which takes the tagging pressure of watson and stan...

There was a round 23?
With Gus, Llyod and Slatts all injury their niggling injuries further. (Did anyone else see the tape slatts had on his inner thigh).
Who would play? I reckon there would be an sos out to all essendon supporters to get to Windy Hill and try out.
Gold. Lol
