Re: BT Draft Comp Champion is Boncer34!

At the risk of bringing this thread back to the top of the list...

Anyone interested in a similar concept with Supercoach Draft this year? I floated the idea on the AFL discussion forum, but only Robrulz was willing to join in so far!

Re: What's happening in the game at Morwell?

McKenna? Someone's spell check is showing it's age. I didn't see the game at all, and frankly took no interest at all in it (including who actually played) but we did have a McKenna playing for us - Conor McKenna. Was it he who was penalised, or someone else? ps - had to look up details of t...

Re: What's happening in the game at Morwell?

Ashby is a very hand overhead mark for his size. He'll become a good back-flanker. Generally has time too. Just had a few poor decisions (or poor execution to be honest). Edwards looked good up forward. Think we will see a bit of him this year. Giles very handy, especially up forward. Will probably ...

Re: Sheedy's Back at the Bombers

Brilliant response from Rohan this morning. How to tear down claims made by a fellow journalist without seeming to do so... Sheedy will provide plenty of assistance to former Melbourne player Matthew Whelan in his role with the club as Aboriginal programs and welfare co-ordinator. And his particular...

I get the impression if someone is going to do their rehab absolutely perfectly, it's Dyson.

He'll be good for Round 1

Re: f*** off..c***

Wasn't it shown that the receipt had TB4 and Thymomodulin on it and ASADA removed the thymomodulin part to make it look worse (note that it does say "including" rather than a finite list). Also, the rest of those substances aren't legal. If you're arguing that that was his shopping list fo...

Re: Take a leaf out of Eddie McGuire's Book

I'll back anyone in that wears the jumper. This isn't an official AFL home-and-away game, it's a glorified practice match. These guys will give this a red hot crack because it could be the biggest game of football they ever play. That's all we ask of the blokes that pull on the red and black each we...

Re: OPEN LETTER TO JOHN PIERIK

The bright side of all this (if there is any) is that you would imagine no club has supplement programs even remotely close to what they had in 2012. The battle to win premierships should be through skill, tactics, list management and even fitness programs, and not through who has the "best&quo...

Re: OPEN LETTER TO JOHN PIERIK

AT I don't think it's a stretch to consider that Dank may have thought an 'immune booster' may have been beneficial in a supplements program. If only to prevent infection. Sure it would make more sense to use Thymosin beta in an effort to improve performance, however that doesn't put TB4 at Essendo...

Re: The Politics Thread.

Can we dock the pay of the Coalition MPs who walked out during Shorten's speech today? WTF is this petulant BS? Isn't your whole f****** job to debate this stuff? I have never been a fan of Shorten, but today he stood up and actually presented options for discussion. The Government has shown (once ...

Fringe player -> best 22 lock

Couldn't find much football related discussion going on here, so thought this would be worth discussing. Getting the crystal ball out, who do we see as the players that are going to cement their place in the best 22 by the end of the season? In the past few years we've had blokes like Hibberd and Ba...

Re: Hirds Role 2014 - Club Statement

I can understand the reasoning behind him staying away from the training and coaches box for the rest of the season, although I hope the decision wasn't dictated by the media. I think it'd be great if he played a role with the VFL team though. Help with VFL training (would give a better idea about t...

Seems to have a strong CV http://www.linkedin.com/pub/xavier-campbell/18/382/62a and he clearly has impressed the right people over the last six months.

He has a strong sports marketing background which will help to continue to the build the clubs brand and supporter base.

Good appointment.

Re: The Recruit

Keeping in mind this is an opinion with no real evidence to back it up. (I may have read too much of Caro's stuff this year....) I was pretty disappointed in the way Manson was presented. I believe this was a decision driven by the producers of the show and that they are playing up the angle of the...

Reports that there were 100 odd delegates on their way to Melbourne for the HIV/AIDS conference starting tomorrow. So many brilliant, inspirational minds lost in a second.

Anyone catch it on Wednesday night?

Will be interesting to see how many get onto AFL rookie lists.

One of them has a very similar personality to one of the mods on here... We might have to cheer him on!
