Re: Heppell asks for patience

As I couldn't see it or hear it here in Brisbane, can someone tell me more about our defence - Ambrose etc. Where did we leak the worst? What happened to Hurley? Where did they kick most goals from? How did McKernan go? What were conditions like at the ground? Already heard our delivery fwd was abs...

Re: R1 Essendon v Greater Western Sydney

Well NO surprises there really.... JLT form (or lack there-of) confirmed. Game plan my arse...can`t kick to a team-mate?, (instead kick it straight to the opposition) and just handball basically anyfkngwhere (no matter the receiver is under pressure)  We will be lucky to beat any fkng ...

Re: R1 Essendon v Greater Western Sydney

Least we'll be popular now. Every team in the League will want to play us twice. We're not even fit to put our foot on the bottom rung of the AFL Ladder. In fact I'd like very much to ram that ladder very hard up someone's A**

Re: Lions and Birds

One thing both sides did was kick non-stop , up and down the ground all night.. Hardly saw a handball. Lions were mostly better at the contest and clearances. But everything looked pretty messy with the greasy ball and damp grass. I liked the way the Lions took charge of the ball at the end of the q...

Lions and Birds

Thinking of you Grassy and thinking just how much you must've enjoyed tonight. Lions did very well for a bunch of bottom dwellers and for the first time in a while, I reckon they showed a hint of things to come. Liked their dogged defence and quick rebounds and kicking for goal was generally straigh...

Re: R1 Essendon v Greater Western Sydney

I honestly believe that if we can play out four quarters tomorrow we should win and win well. Odds are close and we're no worse off than last time, except for Hooks. And of course we have one of their best men now - who I hope has given Woosha some excellent advice about match-ups. I'm going Bombers...

Re: Heppell asks for patience

Heppel has posted an upbeat post on Facebook today that the team has been going great guns at training with still heaps to learn. So I guess that means that by 2038 they gonna be ready.... :|

Pies 'n Cats

Tried to figure out what would turn me on most in tonight's game - humiliation for the Pies or a loss on the siren for Scott. Thought Geelong was lumbering at times, but did the job in the end. Pies didn't impress, were scrappy at times and looked in a state of shock at the siren. May I see the same...

Re: R1 Essendon v Greater Western Sydney

FFS groins....!! What do these guys do in their spare time? And yes, was hoping for Stewart to show his old club up. Another tragedy I guess. Went OK in the JLT but have more faith in McKernan's abilty to shine when the chips are down.

Re: Heppell asks for patience

A McGrath....hardly a giant physique but there is something about that kid McGrath... eloquent and skilful young chap that he is.... can you imagine him giving someone a bullet for a clanger, mid-game? His advantages are eloquence, quick thinker, tough, durable, (not injury prone) and good skills a...

Re: Heppell asks for patience

All jokes aside, not that I think there are too many joking about this, the problem I have with the Captain’s comments are simply that they give license to underachievement. Every player in the team was just “cut some slack”. By the skipper. Imagine if Heppell had come out and publicly demanded not...

Re: Joe Daniher's Groin, Calf, Moustache, Little Pinky

Trying my best to not be cynical/skeptical about this latest injury to Joe. Is there a chance his OP has flared again after the JLT series and it’s being kept quiet for the sake of optics? Was he brought back too early for the JLT? A 5 to 6 week calf injury seems extreme. He described it himself as...
