Re: THE DROUGHT

Training Jan 10: Well at least Joey showed for practice on a very hot day and looks the part in his picture. Love to see him well for Round 1. Some determined and sweaty faces in the photoshoot. Guelfie says that overwhelming care for each other is the catchword of the group this year. I hope that ...

Re: THE DROUGHT

Yeah, droughts are depressing stuff. Waiting for the cloudburst at Tullamarine. Can somebody please tell me if Joey turns up for the first open training day on January 11th. Thanks and Happy New year to all!

Re: Players who you desperately wanted to make it but were just not good enough!

Everyone is forgetting the most important person in this scenario. Joe Daniher himself. A player actually knows if he’s right or not.
Absolutely true that Benny...he must have known he wasn`t right. Again, if it`s not a final WHY fkng risk it???.
-----------------------------------...

Re: Players who you desperately wanted to make it but were just not good enough!

Yes as my heart beats fast thinking about Shiel and the promise in this year's Idraft I can't help thinking with fear and tripadation about these fallen Heroes. Then we have players who showed us flashes of brilliance in between injuries but never ever came good. I think they're the hardest to take...

Re: Zac Clarke

I’m starting to wish Perth grabbed his services, given our track record in recruiting New Ruckmen. This is more a reflection on my Club than poor old Christian Eyres, but you guys should ask Zac how easy he had things, when he played against the Red and Black back home. He killed us every time....

Re: Late Round Draft Success Stories

To clarify my previous post - I guess James had a scholarship to the AIS in his senior school years and did the academic bit at Hawker College. Was in my son's class. So I have heard this story too and so it’s great to have it verified by someone who had a direct link to Hirdy at the time. Somethin...

Re: Late Round Draft Success Stories

He went to school and used to play tennis with my son at Hawker College ACT (years 11 and 12) and also attend the Australian Institute of sport at Belconnen (where he had a scholarship) Marcus once asked him what he was going to do after school. He said "My grand dad has a stadium named after him in...

Re: Crystal ball 2019

Trust me, Redman and Ridley are definitely more than prospects. Yep. That's why I named Redman as our possible rising star. Mason Redman and Jordan Ridley showed great toe to fill the placings behind Langford on the grass, but Redman unfortunately suffered an injury following the trial and scans ha...

Re: Bombertalk Roll Call

Its all about our latest trades, depth and divesting ourselves of dead wood. So many clubs are in transition and others taking almighty gambles. So many pieces to fit into the puzzle for some, but if we're lucky, we have just two: Joey and Shiels. And the ruck backup with Clarky is a huge comfort. T...

I’m no advocate of AFL Rule changing, but if Openents Sling Tackle him, they should penalised for it,shouldn’t they?
Oh yeah they would but to be fair I think he just ran over this kid and the kid stood up and brushed him off his back like a mozzie :D

Re: #72 Brayden Ham

Love this guy's highlights. Great reaction times. deadly left footer. Wondering how long it will take before he gets his chance - ditto Gown (strong contested marks) and Moz - a bolt of bloody lightning? I tell you, after this draft, the likes of Laverde, Smack, Stewart and a couple of others better...

Re: Irving Mosquito

Check out the video of the kid on the EFC website. I'd play him tomorrow!!!! Yeah me too, but how much does he weigh? That kid picked him up and threw him over his head like a rag doll. Not going to last long in bad company. But nevertheless, great little crumber, goes like greased lightning, seems...
