Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

Credit to Windy Hille for sticking tough with Langford...definitely looking more comfortable and importantly confident with being an AFL level footballer. Not in my best 15 but three months ago was not in my best 22. Well, as I kept on saying, let’s see how he goes in the 50-100 game period. If the...

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

Our backs are good enough. Our midfield is good enough and would be dynamite IF they could all deliver like Merrett. We struggle kicking goals against the better teams. Daniher, Brown, Stewart...can Brown or Stewart provide something? We known Brown can and has and seems a good tall foil for Smack....

Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

Walla looks to me like he's getting into the wrong positions - too close to the marking contests (or even right in the marking contest!!) Except for 1 Particular Mark. Which isn’t enough, but boy whatta Mark! I worried for him then. Must be made of bloody steel. Nobody saw it coming :D :D :D

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

When we play well, as we did for most of last night, I would be reluctant to be making drastic coaching changes any time soon. The young group that are coming through now are just starting to get a bit of consistency. I am talking Langford, Parish, McGrath(well he was always good) and Redman. Add t...

Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

Well,we Won and it’s always satisfying knocking off those Smug Bastards Of Injunction! Well,at least the ones that got a laugh out of Mitchell’s Smartarse Antics! 3rd Quarter got us there and whilst things got a little hairy late in the game,we got the job done in the end! Well done fellas! Now,for ...

Re: R13 Essendon v Hawthorn

So frustrating. After a great effort by a few poor judgement and bad kicking has cost us at least four goals. At one point I thought Hawthorn was really on the back foot but in our inevitable way we let them back in . Mckernan shouldn't be there. Something wrong with him. Send him back if necessary ...

Re: Things to do during a Bye

Watch other AFL games and pretend that we are the winning team haha. No seriously I am watching the cats demolish Richmondcurrently Hope Woosha and most of the team are watching. After a good start in Q1 Tigers are down 98 to 24 in Q3. Like us Richmond started playing panic football in frantic erra...

Re: VFL Essendon 2019

Langford future captain? Barely component enough to get a game. Give old Filthy his crack pipe back ffs. Well, in 5 - 7 years that may change. All I’m saying at the moment is that he is emerging as a player now. He’s just entered that 50 - 100 game period. Most players start having an impact then. ...

Re: R11 Essendon v Carlton

Our women's team has more grit and guts than our blokes. The first half against Carlton was so terrible they ought to be made to watch it the whole weekend of the bye. If only to show them how painful it was such poor skills by both sides. Professional footballers. Our kid players ran rings around ...

Bolton gone.
A sign of the times. Getting closer Woosha. I feel that Hawthorn with its history this year will be a fair and excellent test of exactly where we are at particularly if some come back from injury.

Re: Coaching Dominoes about to Fall

I think he’ll go well beyond this year. We are seeing the seeds of success coming through. The young kids are maturing together. This is a good sign. Guys entering the 50-100 game bracket are starting to look as if they belong. And they’re having an impact. Even guys with less experience are doing ...

Re: R11 Essendon v Carlton

I loved Guelfi and Parish today. Great game by Heppell. Rest u, get right and come out and play well for the second half of the season. Guelfi was playing out of his skin today. Couldn't miss him with that hair. Sometimes like a big goofy kid but giving it all he's got. Great to see and I predict t...

Special mention Walla and Guelfi for trying their hearts out at times. You could almost hear them saying "Oh no....we can't let these c***s beat us again..."
