Tribute to Sheeds video
If you have access to bombertv look at the video the senior players have made in honor of Sheeds milestone. Fletch, Spike, Pev, Scotty, Woosha and MJ are predictably boring (sorry guys), then comes Rama who is so funny and so full of irreverence. Absolute gold. http://www.essendonfc.com.au/bombertv/...

I completely agree and as pointed out somewhere else McVeigh did apologize for having let the team down. I am quite concerned playing the Bulldogs without Fletch and Spike. One might agree with this thread and also think the suspension of Lloyd and McVeigh was too harsh in view of the recent tribuna...

Staggy I don't see it like you at all. The most likely outcome in case the EFC disputes the charge is that McVeigh would get two weeks, which would be devastating; we need to beat Collingwood. There was NO usable footage, therefore the McBurney testimony is the most relevant and McBurney continue to...

This is actually inaccurate, McVeigh got the 25% downgrading also on the reduced charge because of his guilty plea. What is a disgrace is that McVeigh was charged for some incident that was really no big deal and should have earned him (and Gary Ablett) a reprimand at worse. I dont know if McBurney ...

Re: Stupid mid year break
Having played a bit (obviously not AFL but Seniors nevertheless in a great standard), let me tell you having a week off anytime but particularly mid season gives you the shits...you have to mentally and physically re-adjust having got into a groove. I agreed with most of your post but I don't think...

I see so many posts here and on BB where people are sure that we will make the eight. Stop dreaming there is no sure thing in the AFL, we have nine more games to play and it is very possible that we only win two and equally possible that we win six or seven. I hope -no, I am sure- that the complacen...

I would love to agree just 100% but after some thinking I find the argument compelling and clever but a bit besides the point. Sorry only 98% I have the greatest admiration for the achievements of the union movement over the last 100+ years, however in a postindustrial economy the unions have...

Surely Ross' idea of points difference would work, I mean it would make sides want to win by greater margins, therefore when 20 points up wouldn't hold off and just secure the match wasting time playing kick to kick in defence, but instead they'd try turn it into a 30 or 40 point win. Then the team...

I reluctantly comment on these teams simply because I don't know enough about the real form of other players. But it bugs me that someone like Mark McVeigh who has been consistenlty great in past 1.5 seasons, can't get a mention, but you see someone like Farkyn Lockyer there. I thought this had bee...

Seeing as we are discussing percentage here, can anyone explain to me how they work out the percentages in the SANFL? I've never understood it and would appreciate some insight into how it is that they do it. {[(points for - points against)/(points for + points against) / 2] + .5} Interesting formu...
