The bombers: Truly the most successful club
If there was any doubt that Essendon is the MOST SUCCESSFUL & BEST club in the land it has been put to rest by the Herald Sun Publication "Our Game Magazine" which states the Bombers won 4 VFA premierships (prior to forming the VFL with several other clubs). Quote "If those succes...

Re: Baby Bombers...
Further to your post re Gumby & his injuries, i also heard yesterday that he has lost all confidence in Essendons fitness staff (who has'nt) to manage his body & wants to return to WA. The West Coke Eagles have been in his ear about coming home & they have indicated they will take better...

Gumbleton Injured AGAIN
Just noticed the Gumbleton strained his Knee Medial Ligament at training today & will miss the next 3 to 4 weeks. What have we done to see this extraordinery long injury list, someone has to accountable or is it just bad luck.

Re: CJ, This is Your Moment
Agree totally. However don't be surprised if CJ spends some time down back, if he can down a position here it may free up Ryder or Fletch to kick goals. Also Johns is a verasatile player & can go forward . Whatever happens i hope they give him the opportunity, at least 4 weeks, in the team to be...

Food for Thought, Ryder in Ruck/Forward
Paddy Ryder is the most exciting new talent at Windy Hill & while he has been effective down back i feel he could be better used in the Ruck resting in the forward line.At least he will make it to the marking contest.Lazycock out, Johns seems to be getting his act together at Bendigo can start d...

Spark Missing
Was at the game last week against the dogs & tonight against the áints & could'nt help but notice the lack of spark tonight compared to last week. Macca had the players in those group huddles all keen to play with passion, the differance tonight seemed to be the exact opposite. I wonder if L...

Re: theory on injuries??
Also Geelong sacked their fitness coach midway through the season before last & they seem to be travelling ok.(remember when they accused him of giving Geelong's secrets to rival clubs). I don't think sacking the fitness team at this stage is the way to go but a extensive external investigation ...

Hirdy,take back your apology
I was at the game last night & have hardly ever seen a more incompetent batch of maggots. Hirdy should take back his apology to McC----ten. The maggot won't have the protection of the AFL this time so the dopey looking prick can sook & be distressed as much as possible & she can do nothi...

Re: Why does Hamquinn still have a gig?
Last season St.Kilda had similar problems with soft tissue injuries & they SACKED the fitness staff, now they seem to be travelling ok. Are our injuries just bad luck or bad management. We have too many hammys etc to be bad luck. Also I believe we knowingly picked Johns (hip), Dempsey & Gumb...

Stuff The Rest, We Are The Best
Interesting to read all the comments about Carlscum, Fevola, & Judd, as far as i'm concerned they can wallow in mediocrity at the bottom of the ladder forever, tank every game, allow their players to escape accepted punishment (like collingwood) & have crooks as players, presidents & sup...

Who Will Tank on Thursday Night
Notice in herald sun that only Carlscum & Terrys Timid Tigers are the only sides that will eligible for a priority pick this season. So the winner only has to win 4 more games & they will lose the priority pick.

Re: Gumbleton Reinjures Hamstring
According to web site the injury report was updated today (17/3/08), & specifically said he re injured his hamstring & will miss a further 3 weeks. I was hoping the report was relating to the initial injury but appears to be a new one. This is a pisser because i was hoping that Gumby will es...

Gumbleton Reinjures Hamstring
Noticed on the new Bombers web site that Gumbleton has reinjured his hamstring & will miss a further 3 weeks of football. Hope we hav'nt landed a high draft pick & father/son recruits (Daniher & Neagle) who are injury prone.

Sheedy's view on captaincy
Noticed with interest in todays Herald-Sun, Sheedy's view on who the captains for each club should be & he suggested that Dustin Fletcher should be captain with Lucas & McVeigh next in line. With no mention of Matthew Lloyd. Does he think Lloyd was behind the non renewal of his contract, did...

Essendon coaching connection with Victoria Vs Rest
Notice the ex Bomber coaches with the Victorian V Dreamteam game in May next year. Mark Thompson with his "ASSISTANT",Sheeds coaching the Vics. And Mark Williams & Neale Daniher coaching the Rest of Australia. Sheeds should be silently pleased with himself. But i wonder how many curren...

Apart from the Lovett & Mcphee comments the newspaper article also mentions that: That Hille & Laycock have to become threats up forward which means after Rucking they will spend some time up forward as another option. That McVeigh will spend time in the midfield & have a leadership role...

Is everyone focussed??
Saw the game live today & got the impression the players wanted to be anywhere but the windswept, cold MCG, maybe we are too cosy at he Dome! But i came up with 3 questions Has all the interviews & media speculation taken the focus from Sheedy, it seems he had no time his week to prepare a g...
