Re: R10 Essendon v Richmond (DREAM TIME)

... we pick Francis, Stringer, Laverde, Begley & McKernan, all over 6'4", and just Walla as a crumber. 1.93=6ft4". They list Begley at 188cm, Laverde at 191, Francis and Stringer at 192cm. McKernan is 196cm. I'm 186cm and have stood next to Begley. I was taller. He's also at 97kg. I suspect some nu...

Re: R11 Essendon v Carlton

It's Mosquito time!

Would love to see the bold move of giving this kid a go - we have nothing to lose.

F**k the defensive mind-set - all out running and attack this week.

Re: R11 Essendon v Carlton

I enjoyed Tbell’s effort against the tigers. It was a much improved game from him. His goal came at a time when we were missing them from everywhere. Understand he’s not elite but he’s our best uninjured option right now. We have to back him in He is only "our best uninjured option right now" becau...

Re: R11 Essendon v Carlton

Like Sportsbet paying out on a Labor before the election, I am calling it, it is a lay down misere that we will lose Carlton. Do you think Carlton will let get away with a bumbling exhibition like last night and not take complete joy in beating us? We should all load up on Carlton - they'll be agai...

Re: Who's on modified training?

You can’t sack an entire playing list, but if it’s not the Fitness Team to Blame,I just wonder if the players actually do the required stretching excercises, amongst other physical preparations PROPERLY?! The fitness team are responsible for preparing the players during the off season and dur...

"Dream Time".....THAT IT IS!
Never been a more appropriately named round for us.

It's as messy and nasty as ANZAC Day has become.

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

Fundamentally I have no problem with Worsfold's coaching philosophy (as lazy as it is). To empower players to be responsible for their actions and shape the direction of the team. The problem is he has a bunch of dick-headed, soft-cock players that he keeps turning to, gives responsibility and leade...

I'm staggered!

Particularly with our strong recruitment and long-term vision with the ruck stocks.

Walla's Woes

Interesting stat I heard today from "The Lunchtime Catch-up' Podcast.

In the last 10 games - won 5 lost 5.

In the 5 that we've won Walla has kicked 20.1
In the 5 that we've lost, he's kicked 0.0

Re: R7 Essendon v Geelong

The story doing the rounds is the 'Windy Hill Flu' got at the team last week - thus the lack of defensive running and pressure. Raz has been sidelined for 2 games due to it (although it wouldn't surprise me if he's gone in for year ending surgery).

Re: R7 Essendon v Geelong

Yeah - when Laverde went down Francis was used as a forward in the ressies.

It'll be all about speed and hard at the contest - its how we've beaten them the last couple of times - so we do have the wood on them.
