Heard him on radio yesterday say how you are guaranteed 2 things from the media.
a) They will write soft articles about Bombers
b) Any time a player comes out of contract, they are always linked to Collingwood.
Nearly stacked my car when I heard him say this rubbish. Two words Mcguire - f*** off.

Re: Why?
Looking at it objectively, we got quite a few holding the ball decisions paid to us tonight. Having said that, the umpires missed a shitload of really blatant free kicks (to both sides) I remember only one Swoodley. I don't count the "diving on the ball" as holding the ball decisions - al...

Shepherding/blocking
Could somebody please explain to me why no-one on our team seems to perform this simple but important task? Straight to mind comes an occasion where Pears was caught holding the ball inside 50 because two of our players refused to shepherd or block the Adelaide's players run at Pears. Justifiably, P...

Re: Real Votes V Adelaide
FFS, did you watch the game? He was the only bloke who put 4 quarters together along with Winderlich. So where's your votes? Peace dude - I just thought that there were at least 7-8 players ahead of Lovett last night. Although I couldn't believe my eyes when he actually contested for a hard ball a ...

Re: Real Votes V Adelaide
5. Andrew Lovett 4. Jason Winderlich 3. Adam McPhee 2. Dustin Fletcher 1. Kyle Reimers Special mention: Sam Lonergan, Gus Monfries, NLM and David Myers. Great effort considering we got very little out of McVeigh, Lucas & Lloyd tonight. 5 votes for Andrew Lovett? Did I watch the wrong game or so...

Re: tackles missed
Speaking of free kicks missed - how about the Jake "The Snake" Roberts DDT applied on NLM in the last quarter. I don't understand how somebody is allowed grab you in a headlock and then slam your head into the ground FFS and get away with it.

Best match up for Burton
Tried Welsh and Slattery. I thought both got towelled up although Slattery did much better. Especially near the end when he started winning the one on one contests. He seems to pose a match up problem for us every year - who would be the best player in our team to line up against him. Personally I'm...

Can't decide whether I like him or not. Always seems to be chasing players - yet hardly gets any possessions. Looks like he runs hard. Don't our players want to kick it to him?

Why?
Could somebody please explain to me why it seems that we get absolutely no holding the ball decisions in our favour week in week out. Opposition players seem to be allowed to throw the ball or touch the ball to ground and get away with it. Or they're spun around a couple of times and given the benef...

OK I can understand when he goes to ground when somebody runs through the back of him but why the f*** does he have to go to ground when he's standing still FFS.

Yippee - Adelaide on the rebound; hope this one gets the R rating that the Richmond game deserved for all Essendon supporters watching.

We do put numbers behind the ball tom but Richmond STILL manage to find a target. FFS how do we let a little runt like Edwards take such easy marks in the forward line.tom9779 wrote: I think the coach should be putting numbers behind the football.

Re: Been a couple of years
go watch a tape of round 1 again. When tails are up, this club can play great football. all our problems are between our ears. confidence is shot....and its no wonder. I'm sorry everybody but I think Tom has hit the nail on the head - confidence is absolutely shot. There is no way we can beat Norf ...

Yeah but f*** me, nobody likes to see Collingwood win games of football. Now where going to have to listen to the "how good Collingwood are" crap in the media for at least a week.

Re: Chances Are We'll Be Seeing....
Why do we need another ruckman when blessed with tall timber like Jason Laycock!
I thought there were some questions over the skills of Natanui too? Anybody elaborate? Sure he's a great athlete but last thing we need is another Kepler at the club.

Re: Too Small, Not Good Enough
I second all of your sentiments, players from all teams seem to be able to brush our tackles aside so easily. But at the same time, they have to start rewarding our team for some our tackles that result in incorrect disposal for the opposition. It seems we always get pinned but the opposition always...
