Re: Winderlich
Great to see him back but I'm always so worried about him. Track record of being so fragile, fearful he would get injured last night. Never seems to be able to string games together.

Re: BomberBlitz
There are some great posters on there but there are some absolute farksticks on there too; guess the same with any forum. Some people on there just take themselvs too seriously - elitists 'whose shit don't stink' and their cliques will shout down anyone who disagrees with these particular posters.

Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
I think the TRB should come up with an innovative idea - don't play any recognised ruckmen and let NLM and Colyer pinch hit in the ruck. That way we will have more mobility around the contests.

Some luck for a change
f*** I will never forget that game against Adelaide where they kicked 21.4 to beat us at Etihad either last year or the year before. Nice for them to hit the post 6 times - karma is a bitch. And nice for the other team to have players injured this time - so many times in the last few years we have h...

Re: Bombers V Crows Match Thread
Could we please forfeit our interstate matches in the future and just prepare for next week. Instead we're going to have to listen to the same shit we've been hearing all year - its a development year, we have a young team, we had a tough pre-season, we're learning a new game plan etc. Bring on supe...

Re: Hurley - The Defender
Yeah, he's a bloody gun. It all started in his first game where he showed Tredrea up a couple of times. He just reads the play beautifully and positions himself superbly. He taught Riewoldt a lesson tonight. Laughed my head off when a Richmond supporter complained on the train on the way home "...

Should have hit the red button and had him ejected from the train lol.

Goals from stoppages
FFS I'm sick of teams scoring easy goals from stoppages in our defensive half (ie Cotchin and Martin) while we have to work so hard for ours. So it's about time we improved our setup with these stoppages - it's been almost half a season. This and the complete lack of crumbers in our team when the ba...

Re: Umpires
What about the frees against Dyson. Two times I remember him touching the ball and two times I remember him getting pinned. Another 'throw' that was not a throw but they still refuse to pay the ones that are actually blatant throws - all in the name of letting the game flow. And the kicking in dange...

Re: Davey
Was really worried in the first quarter when he tried to be our lead up forward - I thought here we go again. Been a massive critic but I'm glad to admit this is the first game where he has regained some sort of the form that we saw in his first couple of seasons - now FFS please don't get injured.

Re: Hurley - The Defender
100% agree. Pears looked vulnerable when moved onto Riewoldt but didn't get a sniff while Hurley was there.

Re: Melksham
I'll put my hand up and admit I was dubious about Melksham as he was just not gettiing enough of the ball. Sometimes when he does get the ball, he does some horrible things with it as he tries to be cute rather than just disposing by instinct. But tonight I'm willing to admit I'm wrong about him and...

Re: HOW much have we missed...
Still the odd turnover from him but one of the few players in our team that will consistently break tackles. Not only that but he has the confidence to continue to do so even if he makes a mistake.

Re: To the Wanker who just blew $1Million....
Don't be so naive everybody...I don't think anybody bet 1 million on this game; just a clever ploy to advertise betting during the footy. Easy for somebody from a sports agency to conveniently leak the fact that somebody apparently bet 1 million dollars on this game.

Re: You Write the Breaking News
Complete with the mandatory fluff piece to give supporters hope every year. Only thing missing is Mark Bolton's record time run around The Tan.robbie67 wrote: David Evans has remarked that Sleepy, Grumpy, Happy, and Sneezy have set world's best practice bench marks,.

Re: At least...................
Best news all weekend! Always knew(OK hoped is probably closer to the truth) that they were pretenders - losing to Weagles here just confirms it. Waiting, waiting, waiting for them to lose what should be a winnable game, was getting worried when they just continued to win. When Essendon would lose, ...

Re: The More Things Change....
We were playing a team who are legitimate top 4 contenders. I guess that doesn't fit into your analogy. Nor does the fact that Watson, our best midfielder, and lonergan, our best from the last few weeks, went down early. And the fact our confidence is on the floor. I was as disappointed as anyone a...

lowest point? yeah performance wasn't great but not the lowest point but trying to get better questions from supporters? Hird says to be dissapointed, Essendon should have been better but be patient we're trying to develop players and the time should come, we didn't coach them as good as we possibl...

Re: Hird on SEN next up
Paddy Ryder is a certainty to play next week if I read between the lines correctly. On Welsh and McVeigh - "they are part of the future" - they're not going nowhere! ie they will be going around again next year. Interview a bit too jovial for my liking. Answers were pretty vague to some of...
