Cats Daylight Brisbane StKilda Port Adelaid Kangaroos Collingwood Fremantle Essendon Is my top 8, but barring injury I think the cats will make in 2 in a row with Stkilda and maybe a J Brown led Brisbane being there only viable threat. Also think we can make the 8. Or at least maybe I just hope so.

I never enjoyed footy more than when JJ, MJ, Solly, Hardwick and Wallis were intimidating and instilling genuin fear into the opposition, but the game has changed, its an athletes game now not a game for gladiators like those guys. In those fantasitic years the Johno's were my favorites and its a de...

Sounds like Caroline Wilson bullshit if you ask me. Lloyd has never ever said anything but the fact he wants to end his career at EFC and whilst in theory a trade for Lloyd would attract some top quality young talent in return, It wont happen. Unlike the round ball game, our game still has room for ...

I think a change of coach will do the whole side allot of good. Im very critical of sheeds coaching recently, and whilst the players sentimentally wated him there, I bet it would be hard to find anyone who will argue his rotations and match up descisions go pear shaped more often than not, and a mor...

Looking at Bendigo today - Lee will be lucky to keep his contract at the end of the year - Gumby is still a BIG pre-season away and Bradley .. well he's Bradley! All 3 have no muscle definition, conditioning or stamina. Big means big - At EFC it plays out as awkward. They are all 12 months behind w...

There is no doubt that he deserved a penalty of some type but 2 weeks!! As commonly reported here, Goods got off for a similar offense, if anything his was of more force than Lloyds. In fact more importantly in my mind is that Carol himself charged Lloyd after he had marked the ball. If the theory i...

3- Laycock - He won us the game. It was the very minute he was benched that Melbourne came back at us, as we got flogged in the middle immediately. The same pattern continued, right up until the last 10 mins in the third when he was rested, the Dees aain took ascendancy in the middle. Sheeds knew he...

you did mention 'our side' so i massuming you mean essendon and as such we already have Ryder, but he would definately be in my top 5 if we didnt. Considering our immediate needs are for midfielders and our future forward line should be nice with Gumby I think the following would give us a shot at t...

Just because we stuffed our first rd pick for a player that is nothing more that servicable doesn't mean he cant be picked at all. As far as im concerned he add's more value than Dyson or Cole have recently, particularly given his past success in tagging tall mobile midfielders like Goodes. After Go...

A rare occasion that I actually agree with Gringo's typically negative point of view. I have been saying since early last season that Dyson is the most overrated player on our list. Posters here consistantly including him in their best 22 predictions and comparing him to Mercs of all people. You hav...

Give up! Clearly this guys mindset is as flexible as a cast iron plank and he will continue to have irational oppinions of Pev no matter what he does. Fact is though, Pev is in better form than all of Hird, JJ and MJ and I would drop any of those before I dropped Pev looking at recent performance. B...

Pev will be top 5 in our B&F easily and is in great form. Iif everyone had the same application to there roles as he does, we might not be going so bad. He runs all day and presents a viable option. Where are the guys who can hit targets? Monfries & Dyson. If they get 30 touches each I guara...

I always thought that Cartledge was a better option than Laycock. He showed a bit in the few games he played towards the end of last year. That was probably why he got delisted and they kept Laycock ](*,) AND he was only 21 I think, and everybody knows that ruckmen take a while to develop. Except f...

No surprises really as our midfield is 0-6

I started a thread after the Adelaid win assessing our performance and noting that we should keep it in perspective. http://www.bombertalk4.com/viewtopic.php?t=1794&highlight= Well im not surprised at all that we are 3-3 and not looking to be the world beaters many had us for after rd 3. Put sim...

I agree, I think sheeds has unbalanced what looked to be a strong formula by including Johns, Bolton and Bradley at the expense of running players. It is common knowledge that our midfield is our greatest weakness and by incuding more talls we have further depleted our struggling midfield. Dropping ...

Great win! but keep it in prospective

Awesome win by the boys yesterday! It is a massive improvement in team balance from previous years and no matter where we end up on the ladder this year I am confident we will get more wins that last year. Our backline and Scotty Lucus were the catlyst of our win, with our midfield again getting sma...

Jobe didn't have his usual impact, and his kicking continues to be his achilles heal atm. It is really terrible! But his ability to get the hardball in packs and dish it off with what I believe to be one of the most effective and accurate handballs in the game is and will continue to be an integral ...
