Re: bush fires in nsw. I am in Merimbula.

Yes,even when it rains, there’s a catch it seems.

Real heartbreaking to learn about the turtles and platypuses.Watching docos about them, never fail to fascinate about what amazing little species they are.And now they are in serious danger of extinction.

Not Good! :(

Re: bush fires in nsw. I am in Merimbula.

Been a bit o’ rain around lately folks.

Hope it’s made things too soggy for the fires to ever start up again for this Summer, but I guess it won’t be enough,I fear.

Re: NFL 2019/20

Whilst the Chiefs took a short while to overcome another slow start, the 49ers blew the Pack away 27 - 0 in the 1st Half to set up a Redsea Super Bowl, where both teams primary Colours are Red! Of course, someone will have to wear their Away gear, though the helmets could be traditionally worn, given the...

Re: c*** nominations

Was doing a bit of catch up browsing on 3AW and stopped with the 1ststory. The Fuel and Car Thief at the 7/11 on Victoria St,East Melbourne seems like a right candidate for a c*** nomination! Not only did he nick off with the above 2 items,he saw fit to chase the 7/11 employee down and thump the shi...

It’s Kansas City Chiefs v San Francisco on Sunday February 2 in a Big Super Bowl in 2 Weeks time. I’ll be stuck at work,Dammit! But I’ll do what I can to get the TV where I am put on Channel 73,if it’s stuck on 9. It shouldn’t be,with the Australian Open Done and Dusted! More later, but really looking...

Re: Predictions for 2020

Might get an idea if I can fly next month, with the crook leg I had a couple of years back. But love to come over to Bomber HQ if I can.Don’t know if me old mates at The Club and Bowling Club are still around. One was certainly around on TV News a few years back.Last time I saw him,was on a big day a...

Re: Anniversary Reflections - 1985 ESSENDON PREMIERSHIP TEAM

Who remembers the sign around the grand stand? Was it the wonderful wizards from windy hill? Some bloke was always shown on the crowd shots leaning over the stand with that big sign. If I recall correctly, he was drinking champers midway through the last quandry I’d better have another look to be h...

Re: Anniversary Reflections - 2000 ESSENDON PREMIERSHIP TEAMS

What a season this was! Pity about Dogs match, but that season was flawless. Absolute machine! As much as I sighed over a beer afterwards with me then Bomber mate Michelle,I reckon that may have done us a Favour in a way.It was a bit of a circuit breaker on the then recent form, which was a bit down...

Fish capped a 12 month spell with a buggered knee,in a Fantastic way, with 6 Goals at Full Forward.Could have kicked 10 I reckon. If I heard Lou right,he kicked 4 behinds. Yep, he kicked 6.4 Here’s one for trivia buffs... Hawthorn selected David O’Halloran for his first game of the season. His last g...

Re: I HATE AFL FOOTBALL....

The AFLPA(on behalf of their Masters at AWFULL House)slipped in a sly one, without people noticing too much. Seems they favour a 15 minute Half - Time, saying it wasn’t an issue.Of course they know it’s a Big Issue with fans, but they didn’t say too much out aloud did they? Usually AWFULL like to side...

In Jobe Watson and James Hird we have perhaps two of the most tragic figures in football.

Both the victims of a gross miscarriage of justice.

Re: Why the AFL is Bad for Australian Rules Football

The Australian Football League have become a conglomeration of companies all of whom which support and are supported by the AFL "boys club'. Its a license to print money. From catering to merchandise, with their own media journalists, radio and t.v. broadcasting rights, to building and buying sport...
