Re: EFC shitness at flying theory #1
We play like we are on drugs but downers, not stimulants so, no, I don't think we are hyped up by Stanton's terror of flying. I think we just lack the pace and talent, especially in mid-field, to play well on the big grounds we encounter interstate. We are actually not too bad on the smaller SCG.

Re: Best team of the 1990s
West Coast were pretty good too. As well as their two premierships, they made the finals every year during the '90s, including runners up in'91. I vote for them.

Re: The Greatest Upset in AFL history
A good one was Fitzroy beating Geelong by six goals in 1963. Geelong were premiers that year and it was the only game Fitzroy won in two and a half seasons.

I don't hate him; I hope he plays every game after he gets over his latest setback and wins the Brownlow. The fact is though that he has...

Re: 2012 membership. Reserved seats only.
How do you avoid the "reserved seat featurette"? I haven't signed up for the first time in many, many years because I prefer to stand and don't want to pay for something I will never use (especially as I was offered a seat behind the goals, a location I detest). I haven't heard from Scott ...

Re: The 3 players you are most excited about watching in 201
Carlisle - we may have an exceptional quality CHF on our hands here, this should be the year we find out for certain Melksham - has plenty of talent, just needs more experience and body strength to deliver consistently and this should be the year it starts to happen Zaharakis - stepped it up a notch...

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
I was a promising young wingman/rover from Tasmania but was dogged by injuries during my three years at Essendon between 1988 and 1990. Due to injury, I managed only three games for five goals. Who am I?

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Greg Perry it is. Why the nickname I don't know but I do clearly recall that he was called "Rattler". He wasn't especially dirty so it is unlikely to imply that he struck like a rattlesnake. He wasn't red headed either, so it couldn't be a reference to the old "red rattler" trains.

Another who had his footy career wrecked by conscription/Vietnam but, no, it wasn't Lindsay. The man in question was purely a ruckman although, with Don McKenzie and then Graham Moss ahead of him in the pecking order, he spent most of his time in a pocket (forward pocket to begin with and back pocke...

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Another ruckman from the same era, I was nicknamed "Rattler". I missed more than a season when I was conscripted to serve in Vietnam and missed another season late in my career when I temporarily returned home to the bush. My younger brother, also a ruckman, played for Collingwood. Who am I?

Well, that makes me look stupid. I was 100% sure it was Fields but you are right, he was back with us. I withdraw the question as I don't know either (unless I was right about Fields but wrong about his jumper). An easy replacement question: Name the twins who played for Essendon in the 1980'...
