Re: When is Enough, Enough?

John 'We'll be ready for Round 1', 'We'll learn from this', 'We didn't play our brand of footy' Worsfold. Where did we improve this year, what did we learn other than how bad our gameplan is. If we're not playing our brand of footy, than maybe we just can't learn from the teacher. Same issues most g...

Re: R20 Essendon v Port Adelaide

Very flat effort. Without Hurley & Hepp leadership has been missing, team defense has dropped off. Can't see us winning again if we repeat this effort. Smack missing meant we struggled with Marks inside 50. Port were well organised & it was just too easy.

Re: Rnd 19..vs Gold Coast Suns

The game was horrific to watch & with Dwayne commentating it was even more horrific to listen to.
I'm very far from a violent person, but every time the camera was on Gil, the goal umpire who f***** up, or Razor Ray my TV was in serious danger.

Re: R6 Essendon v Collingwood (ANZAC Day)

Thought we did ok considering Smith was gone for the 2nd half. Filth in form, I think we have more improvement then they have. Naturally, we got smashed in hitouts (19-44) but managed to win the clearances 40-29 so some good work there. Shiel does so much good work but lets himself down with disposa...

Re: Zac Clarke

I believe the great Zac Clarke experiment is over for a while now. Belly certainly earned his place after yesterday and Joey needs to come back this week in the hope he will be be firing for Anzac Day. Then give Draper a hit and spell Belly for a week after Collingwood, if Joey's Fitness holds up. ...

Re: Who do we want?

Yeah, I think it will be just 38 with 7 rookies.

Clarke is picked under the new Pre-season supplemental selection period (any picked here are a Cat A rookie).
We could take 1 more up until March 15 if anyone was of interest.

Re: Who do we want?

Draft Pick 38: Irving Mosquito
Draft Pick 60: Noah Gown
Draft Pick 72: Brayden Ham
Rookie Pick: Tom Jok
Rookie Pick: Matt Dea :D

Dodoro said Dea was always going to be picked, they just needed to free a spot for a draft pick.

Yeah, surprised he was cut with so many list spots available & he was fairly dependable in most games.

Re: Who do we want?

Quite possibly I am wrong, but I thought that there were different rules for category B rookies including that a club can have up to 3 Category Bs independent of the standard list numbers (so there can be 6 Category A rookies and 3 category B). I also thought that Category B players could be kept o...

Re: Who do we want?

We aren't forced to cull anyone as Primary list size required is 38-40 (38 with up to 9 rookies, 40 for 7). Green, Goddard, Colyer, JMerrett gone with Shiel coming in. Primary list size currently is 36. 6 rookies are currently in the squad. 3 can be retained (for a 2nd or 3rd season) with the rest h...

Re: DYLAN SHIEL

This and next year’s first-round picks as part of the trade. The Giants will send a future second-round pick back to Essendon to balance out the trade. So if GWS plummet to the bottom of the ladder next year, and we win the flag, we have essentially traded pick 18 for pick 19 :D Getting excited abo...
