Re: Sheeds & Kepler
From Lloyd's perspective, the bottom line is he could stay with a struggling rebuilding club with little hope of a premiership before he retires, or join WC and maybe snag another cup or two. Is this the same West Coast who finished second bottom last year? Pretty sure this explains my train of tho...

Re: Sheeds & Kepler
With the lloyd trade for Judd, I feel it is in the book just to stir up some intrest, I seriousely doubt sheeds would have considered the trade. The only major surprise trade in his term as coach was that of Paul Salmon and he was not our captain. That said, I think it would have been a great option...

Re: Looks like its when not if....
Ted Richards? Nah seriousely a 2nd rd pick should do it, Lovett is going no where here and it's obvious our coaching team have lost patience with him. Sydney would be pretty confident of getting good value from him given their record so I dont think second round is out of the question. At 600k...

Re: Bad Rumour
Depends what the Saints think he is worth and as such what we have to give up. I think the saints overrate him so will price him well above what I think he is worth. I'd take him for a 3rd round pick as a depth player for our ruck stocks. Laycock needs some list pressure to lift his game, and Kosi c...

Re: Cousins Poll?
C for me. On one hand we let Peverill go despite his form being good enough to be in our 22. Reason given, he is too old to picture in our future and would be taking the spot of a kid. Whilst I dont agree, I can understand this push for youth especially given the draft concessions to the new teams c...

He is a gem to watch that Rioli, but yah I have to agree, we got Davey filling that position and he is just as exciting and has even more pace, we just need to get him on the park.

Re: A theory about the Pussies.
The Hawks didnt win this one, the Cats blew it, just like we did in 99. Great job by the Hawks to maintain focus and despite being smashed in the midfield in the first half and copping injuries to some key players they persisted and pressured Geelong and in the 3rd quarter and Geelong lost the plot ...

Re: Greatest Season Ever
We would beat Geelong. Look at their key forwards. Lonergan and Mooney lol. Compare them to Lloyd and Lucas at their prime, you get the drift, we'd take em apart. Not so sure. Look at thier midfield and with the exception of James Hird they have us covered easily. Defence wise, both defences are aw...

Re: Luke Hodge
re: the upcoming draft, and seeing as we're discussing two players of the type touted as required at EFC...midfielder and KPP... who would you pick if you knew how they'd turn out? Hodge v Riewoldt? :-k  Eh, Im a Riewoldt fan but still this is a no brainer. Hodge is the exact type of playe...

Re: Reiwoldt
You guys are way to harsh and a little one eyed I think. Reiwoldt is a bloody champion!! Not a legend amongst Hird, Carey, Lockett, Ablet, Ricciuto etc. but certainly a champion ranked deservedly alogside greats such as Lucus, Richo and Hall. The hype is admittedly amplified by being a no.1 draft se...

Re: 2009 Bombers
I dont think our defence runs as thin as some of you seem to believe. I think this is how they will line up next year and with Pears and Daniher as key defensive prospects I dont see an urgency for key defenders in this years draft. The option is there to throw Lucus or even McPee back as well. FB H...

Re: 2009 Bombers
Our KP prospects are: Daniher Pears Ryder Neagle Gumbleton Probably missed one or two. Apart from Ryder, none could get on the park for Bendigo. Play Gumby down back is a waste of time. That being said, he needs to play and wth Lloyd and Lucas still going, how are they all going to fit. I think nex...

Re: The booing of Laycock
The Booing of Paul Salmon a one time great of our club was poor form, but comparing Laycock to Salmon is just as poor. Salmon was a big contributor in back to back grand finals, won a coleman or two (not sure how many) and earned legendary status. The Lazycock has been on our long enough to have con...

Re: Johns CUT!
disappointing all round. i still reckon the kid had something - despite what Rosso and others will tell you. I think injuries have prevented him getting him where he should be - I also reckon he has was poorly coached by Sheeds - in terms of giving him one game then sending him to the seconds on an...

B: Slattery Fletcher NLM HB:Lovett Ryder Houli C: Dempsey Watson Welsh HF: Reimers McPhee Lloyd F: Lucas Neagle Davey R: Hille McVeigh Stanton I: Monfries Laycock Myers Jetta 4 of the back 6 are pretty much standard. I like Houli, he works hard has pace, is creative and has good skills, he and Fletc...

Re: Gringo's Junkety Junk Pile...
I must admit I was intrigued that Dyson had dragged himself from the mire so quickly. He has probably played one effective game all season. Has this Gringo character perhaps become one of the "over-exicted BTers" towards whom your cynicism is directed? I'm with you Andrew!! Getting soft M...

Funny, I didn't make it to the game and so listend to AM radio. Dont remember who called it, but either the caller's were Bomber supporters (and i doubt it) or the umpiring on many occasions was discracefully biased. Cant tell you how many times they discussed descsions questioning how/where a free ...

Re: still confident
I have to say im reasonably confident. Richo out is a much bigger loss to them than Lovett and McVeigh is to us, as much as McVeigh in particular will be missed in our midfield. Richo has consistantly been the matchwinner in just about every recent loss to Richmond. On recent form, Welsh should be a...
