Just saw it on Bomberblitz.. where there is a pretty informative thread about it.

Humble Pie
Over the last couple of years I've made a lot of posts and predictions about different players. Mostly I've been correct but for the record .... Dyson : Wrong .. looks to have finally found himself .. still not sure if he is in our best 22 since McVeigh would fill that role but he has shown a lot mo...

What we've been missing
Since the decline of Rama, Mercury, Bewick, Caracella and Blumfield we haven't had small forwards/wingers that are capable of kicking 2 or 3 each week. Others might chip in now and again but in general we've missed these types of players who could kick long, didn't panic and had great skills. Now we...

Re: Predicted Changes this week
Jetta in for Dreamtime and Lonergan, Zaha and Myers were all quiet last week statistically speaking.

Predicted Changes this week
My Guess for this weeks changes
In Hurley, Jetta
Out: Lonergan(or Zaha), Myers
Not saying I agree with this but just having a guess.

Re: Lucas
Barring injuries I have a feeling he might be on his last legs. Even if he does get into some form .... does he fit into the game plan ..? And if he does play who do we drop.. Neagle is the future so we need to persis with him... I have a feeling that Lucas still has a part to play this season but o...

Funny .. I've been thinking the same thing for a long time. Should be more like Medhurst.danstar84 wrote:Needs to stop trying to play like Jonathan Brown and start playing like a small forward!

Re: Hurley up forward?
Haven't seen much of him but Hurley doesn't have the absolute pace that other defenders have and that is needed for defending a small forward...He was drafted because he had a big body (KPP) and was an excellend reader of the ball. He is also a natural defender and likes to spoil... I reakon that we...

Re: Lay Off Laycock!
Laymember is not a whipping boy .. but was justifiably criticised. Laycock's had a heap of chances .. already. I personally haven't posted on it this year but I don't think it is his ability that people have a problem with. Just his intensity and attack on the ball which is a joke. The impact the Be...

Re: NRL naughty boys
I agree with you TMFB. To me it doesn't matter if it was consenual or not... A drunk 19 year old vs a team of NRL players... is crazy... People have a right within the law to act how they want ... and I can't think of all the philosophical arguements for this but the whole thing just feels wrong. Im...

Re: Teams
I was in a cafe in Napier St this week and Jetta came in and ordered a coffee. I was going to ask him if he wanted me to help him carry it to his table after his fumbling efforts in the dying seconds of the Anzac Dat game! Funny because I was walking to Cafe in Napier street this week and saw Jetta...

Re: Team List Scenarios
Agree with Rosso; Hooker before Atkinson. I would persist with Monfries and give Jetta a spell for Houli.

Re: History lesson
Love it ! Remember going to my first few games around that era... first went in 81 so see the bombers and Fitzroy.. then went a few times in 82 and 83 as a young kid in primary school. I remember watching the bombers at waverley in 84 or 85... I was 9 years old and was coughing all day ....turns out...

Lucas to CHB
Given that we have just lost Fletcher and with Lucas finding no joy up forward is there a possibility that he could go back to CHB ?

Re: Team v Brissie.
Did a couple of things in the last quarter ... I still don't think those things justify his spot in the 22 at the moment. It's about intensity and commitment over 4 quarters. Personally I think Houli is a much better option That said I suspect that Knights might persist with him this week and he sho...

Like Filthy - I'm also operating under the assumption that Jetta will be dropped. . ....I must have been at a different game Just my opinion but if you watch the game you will see; Jetta zones off on his man.. even when there is a chance to put some physical contact on an opposition player he never...

If this thesis is true then the Anzac day loss will only make them stronger ! (In a misguided, militant, extremist supporter kind of way)

Re: Am I Being Naive?
I was actually thinking the same thing this morning. Personally I think it is a huge benefit that we aren't attracting much attention. Let Collingwood and Carlton cop all that and we can go about business.

Re: Team v Brissie.
Well Bendigo's forwards weren't very productive today, remaining goalless in the 2nd half. I can think of some other forwards that haven't been very productive this year. Neagle with his two goals makes him our outstanding key forward of this season. Sometimes I like to close my eyes and imagine th...

Re: Team v Brissie.
Like Filthy - I'm also operating under the assumption that Jetta will be dropped. Was at the game on Saturday and he was hopeless. Can't remember him putting his body into a single contest and didn't get near winning a one on one. Should be dropped. In the meantime Houli has been in the best players...
