Hi All - Just to top off the year my whole team got retrenched on Friday. Funny because I actually feel relieved but I have never been retrenched before and it is an average feeling.
I hope everyone has a good Christmas and a great 2009 !

Re: 2008 Year In Review
Funny type of year for me. I have run my own business for two years working from home and absolutely loved every minute of it. Loved taking my two boys to school in the morning and wearing shorts and a Tshirt to work. Then we lashed out and bought a house. The house is only a modest house but the bu...

Re: World Cup Qualification Thread
Disapointing game last week. Thought we were out coached and Kennedy was getting mugged al game. Should have switched to a smaller line up earlier. Very ordinary would have been a perfect setup for Scotty Mac. We still need a sticker or attacking midfielder who can hold the ball up.

Cousins
I'm sure this has been raised before but I was thinking.. that maybe cousins would be a good pickup for the bombers. Firstly when it comes to the draft my preference is to draft a high quality natural defender. But we are caught in catch 22 where we also need another good quality midfielder. So why ...

Re: World Cup Qualification Thread
Just Thought that i would revive this thread in preparation for Wednesday. Every one has been worried about the left side but with Kewell in good form and Carney backing him up we are going to be fine ... but with Emerton out .. it will be interesting to see who takes up the right side. I think we'l...

Re: David Myers
I'm a big Wrap for this guy. Showed a lot of class when he had the chance last season. Loved his long kicking ... since Rama went down a couple of years ago we have lacked a really long penetrating kick from the midfield and wing.... now we have it ! Also interested in Magin as he showed some really...

Re: dees split..wouldn't it be great
Gumbleton was drafted for that very purpose..played CHB for WA. IMO our backline next year will be Ryder, Gumbleton and Myers. Have a look at our last 3 drafts. Myers, Gumbleton, Ryder. All key possie players. So what if Gumbleton was drafted for that purpose. He hasn't played any football in the l...

Re: dees split..wouldn't it be great
I'm not sure we are sorted up forward. We have Gumby and Neagle slated to fill those FF and CHF positions but neither of them have stayed on the park for any length of time - and in reality we need them both to get over their injury concerns for us to have a decent forward line in the future. I don...

Re: Markets/Dollar up
Agree with Jimmy to a point but these guys aren't really the bad guys like Freddie Mac and Fannie May ....anyone who allowed these dodgy loans to go through on no collateral deserve to cop it. Likewise the rating agencies that rated these pieces of crap as AAA. These 2nd tier lenders in Australia ha...

Re: Draft Results
Daniel Rich didn't compete in the draft camp due to a knee injury because he was advised by medical staff not to participate. He did participate in all of the interview processes and psychological tests , They do Psych tests ? I would love to know the top 10 results from the psych tests ... I would...

I'm with you Windy .. I'm definitley open to trading stants...he's a good player but no match winner and he still doesn't know how to tackle...I've always thought that Stants, Lovett and Dyson are all down hill skiers ... very different than the type of midlfielders that you find at Hawthorn, Geelon...

I thought the cats made a big mistake not including him in the team. Varcoe was useless !.
I thought Geelong was done due to a lack of intensity.... but David Wojinski may have added a bit.
Is he now a target for EFC ?
