Re: Salt into the Wounds
I'm feeling all these losses .... plus the Aussie boomers lost to the Tall Blacks in Basketball. We've lost every single thing of interest in the last week...I'm just glad the socceroos didn't play.

Re: The future is bright - Team balance...
BillDuckworth - Totally agree with that assessment .. all the things I have been thinking about. Without McVeigh and Welsh doing much ... the other team simply needs to shut down Watson and flood our forward line. We need to have a plan B and a better run with injuries.

Agree with your thoughts Windy. If...when....but.......maybe......... like: wait until we get Calthorpe and Olarenshaw back to full fitness, that will give the mid-field the depth it needs: with a bit of discipline Lewfatt and McGrath will be like having two Michael Long's in the team: Mercuri, Well...

Feel like I've been crucified for this opinion. Never said he was the worst play but I do think he is not as influential as he is cracked up to be ... And dropping him to get some hunger is that so radical ....? Funny because I remember a team who dropped 2 players (Dal Santo and Montagna) who were ...

Assuming Laycock can get over years of inuries and learn how to tackle, chase, run, mark, handball and kick he will be could be a very handy addition to the team one day.

Re: Injury Ladder
I would like to take this one step further and do some analysis to try and find out of there are any common trends on those teams with a high rate of injuries and those with a low rate of injuries. Would there be a trend 1. In player type of those injured 2. Practise ground/Playing ground 3. Game St...

Is it just me or can anyone tell me a game this year when he has actually had a big affect on the game ? He has no physical presence and there is no defensive pressure....his possessions always seem to come late in the second half when the game is already cracked...I would drop him this week.

Would like to see Houli, Myers and Hurley get a run. These guys are our future ! We have to get some games into them and based on their recent performances they deserve it.
Possible outs, Dyson, Licha (looks very tired) , Monfries inured

Re: Gringo's observations part 13
Agree with most of that but didn't think that Dyson had a big impact on he outcome of the game. Popped up a few times but in general I thought he was quiet for a winger. - I will check the stats. Will be interesting to see who comes in this week. McVeigh for sure ... but I would keep NLM rather than...

Re: World Cup Qualification Thread
Time revive this thread again. What do people think of the large squad selected ? Viduka ? Even with Kennedy I still feel like we don't have a strong agressive striker up forward without Aloisi or Dukes. We struggle to hold the ball up these days and this will be a problem when we actually need to w...
