Scotty Lucas and Robert Shaw

Both on the radio right now talking about last night's game. They said that they give the win the biggest tick and it was a September like win. Not all wins will be 20+ goals to 15goals and that you need to grind wins out ugly at times (which we certainly did). If we had taken our chances we obvious...

Re: Membership packs

You won't be getting no GF ticket in the future with just a silver membership let alone the best seats on Level 2 at MCG or Etihad (where I prefer to sit). Cough up the $$$$ and upgrade to a High Mark or prepare to join the queues when we do make the BIG ONE!

Re: Essendon vs Carlton Pre - Match Discussion Thread

no we will not get smashed. Carlton could barely smash Richmond and it wasn't until the final quarter that they did (oh shit did I just say "final quarter"). I went to that round 1 game and if it wasn't for Richmond's poor start (5 goals to zip) the game could have been a lot closer. For s...

More will be released next Tuesday as well, and the rest including restricted viewing and standing room the following Tuesday (week of the match)

Re: Great fear we will lose Hurls.

Take a read of the latest edition of the Bomber Mag. There's an interview with Paddy, Tayte, Hooker, Neagle and Hurley all together. Going by the reaction to the question about moving north for the $$$ (GWS OR Gold Coast) I don't think any of them will be heading anywhere too soon. All stated they'r...

Round 1 V Geelong

Anyone planning on going and not booked? Due to it being Geelong's home game the Southern Stand has now sold out. Limited seating is available to reserve in the Ponsford Stand (single seats) and to book in the Olympic Stand you're now looking Row GG on M level. I wouldn't be suprised if this match d...

Re: Family Day

I live about a 5min walk away from the ground and didn't care I was still heading there. Caught up with a friend who i hadnt seen a few weeks and we sat in the the bar and drank wine all day which was great. Then more friends turned up who I hadn't planned to catch up with. As it turned out was a su...

Re: interesting

Yeah okay my mistake.

You have to wonder how he physically assaulted him when there were no injuries. I find that strange. He smashed one of the windows so was obviously pretty agressive yet didn't even cause a cut or bruise to the driver.

Re: interesting

yeah i realise he had prior convictions (and obviously not a smart bloke) but he didn't actually physically assault the taxi driver (he had no injuries) which is what Hurley has supposedly done (hopefully incorrect). The following link says the taxi driver who Hurley is charged with assaulting recei...

Re: Critchton Medal - Anyone here going?

Haven't missed one since 1994 after I turned 18. So many big nights had at Moonee Valley, Flemington when the event was no where near as big as it is then. Think I can recall paying $60 for it the first time around. Still have the ticket somewhere amongst all my Bomber memorabillia. Was hoping Lloyd...

2010 Fixture Requests, what would you ask for?

Mine would be: 1. Home game against the Cats at the MCG 2. Return games against Melbourne (has this ever happened?) 3. Interstate trips spread evenly across the 22 Round season (avoiding two trips to Perth) 4. Home games against Richmond (Dream Time), Carlton (Easter Monday) and Pies (Friday night b...

A prediction from back in July from a blog on Age website

OK people. Get ready for it. Here is the scoop you've been waiting for. The Bombers will win the flag in 2009. And they will do it from 8th spot, the first team to ever do so. This is not a prediction, this is reality. I write this direct from the future, because i am hacking not a computer, but ti...

Biggest Essendon crowd at an "away" game in a LONG time!

Can't remember the last time so many Essendon fans turned up for an away game. We outnumbered them, yelled louder and wasn't it brilliant!!!! Our away games against the Blues (Rd 3) and Collingwood (Rd 14) had no where near the same amount of support. The MCC looked chockers, moreso than even ANZAC ...

tickets for Saturday

Where is everyone sitting? Only general admission is on the top deck of the stands. Friends today bought tickets and the three of them are ground level in the Ponsford stand. They are hoping to be around other Bomber supporters. I've got mine in the AFL Members level 2 Row C so pretty happy with that.

Hands up

If you expected us to be fighting it out for a finals birth in Round 22 (yes the last round of the season) this year? Most pundits and so called football experts had us bottom half of the 8 (which we still may end up being) with many bottom 4. We've done well. Suggest everyone to gather at the G and...

Super Saturday Rd22

Geelong V Fremantle (okay nothing special here) Hawthorn V Essendon (hopefully our spot in the 8 is sewn up by then) Carlton V Adelaide (most likely the winner to be our opponent in Round 1 of the finals) Sydney V Brisbane (will Lions get a home final????) Port Adelaide V Kangaroos (how will Port re...

Why would we have to lose?
