Re: All That We Proved Tonight

So when did Brisbane all of a sudden become easy beats??? No one has mentioned how well we did to get into a winning position against a pretty well credentialed opponent . So we learn from this game and in the future will close out a match far more effectively. Hey I am disappointed that we didnt w...

What a joke Ticketek is!

Just thought I would look and see what seats are available for tonight (even though I have mine booked in the AFL).

You can get N15 Row D in the Southern Stand now as well as tickets in any of the other stands.

Obviously doesn't encourage people to book tickets early.

Re: MCC update RE Friday night

AND the following two weeks of the 93 season (after the Friday night game against the Pies) put us up against Sydney and Footscray.

The 2009 Season sees us playing Collingwood this Friday (after beating Carlton) followed by Sydney and Western Bulldogs (ala Footscray).

Ironic much?

Re: Player contracts

I was just curious to see which players are out of contract at the end of 2009 and which ones we need to try and sign up asap. Luckily we already have Ryder locked away and i read in the paper a couple of weeks back that Andrew Lovett is close to getting a 2 year deal. Any players out of contract t...

Re: Here comes the filth...

next three weeks are the toughest games left all season if you ask me. win against collingwood, sydney(away), dogs and it should be top 4 aspirations. if we lose all three, well, we can still make the 8, it might put the boys under the pump confidence wise Have you forgotten we play the Saints again?

Re: Attendances after Round 13

Averaging over 50K is great considering we've played Port (away), Lions (away), Kangas away, Freo at home, Sunday twilight and games against Hawks and Cats at the Dome when Pies get to play them at the MCG.

Carlton and Essendon have been out of the finals for years yet we're still going strong.

Geez I'm proud!

This weekend I have been listening and watching a large number of Essendon players conduct interviews on both radio and television. Sam Longeran, Angus Monfries, Matty Lloyd, Mark McVeigh, Jason Winderlich and if I think about it longer there have probably been others. I have never heard a more comp...

Re: Can we make it...

Of course we can make it! Only one team has "smashed us" this year and that was Geelong. We're only going to get better during the remaining 10 games and if we can't win AT LEAST 5/6 of them then we're not deserving of a finals place - forgetting the fact we lost to North. Richmond West Co...

Bring on the BLUES

Cannot wait for this game! Wouldn't be surprised to see 90K at this game. Both teams have this as their "home game". Both teams sitting in the 8 on 6 wins and 6 losses. Friday night prime time, school is out early for the holidays. It will be HUGE! AND going by our previous encounters it's...

Win Friday night and we're back in the 8

Thanks Hawthorn that loss today by 42pts has your percentage quite capable of being over ran this week 0.92. Ports abysmal effort aginst the Doggies last night brings their percentage down to 89. Win Friday night and we'll be 8th until we see what happens up in Sydney. Sydney win and we're back to 9...

What will the crowd be this week?

At the start of the week the MCC were estimating 55K with general admission being on the ground level of the Ponsford Stand. Now they've changed their tune estimating 62K with only the top deck available for general admission. This is exactly what happened with the Round 3 Carlton game. Is it likely...
