Re: 2024 R8, EFC v West Coast
I fully expect to lose. West Coast are very capable and with the wonder boy Harley Reid back we are going to have to be playing our absolute best to beat them. Brad Scott’s pronouncements about Tarryn Thomas were disgraceful. This on a week where we are trying to focus to prevent violence against w...

IN: Archie Perkins, Matt Guelfi OUT: Sam Draper (Injured), Nick Hind (Omitted) ...knee soreness. Draper has been able to manage his soreness in recent games, but after failing to improve his condition over the course of the week, he'll sit out Saturday's game. I suspect Draper is more like he has b...

Draper - In trouble again!
Our enfant terrible ruckman has got himself in trouble again... and earned himself an admonishment from the club. It seems he made comments about Luke Beverage ... on a podcast "Clubby Sports 200+". Draper stated that if Beverage remained at the Dogs next year, he understood that a number ...

Re: Essendon VFL 2024
Visentini looks ok. Visentini is our rookie speculator this year. It would be nice to have a rookie work out for once. We haven't had a success for quite a while. And before someone says Durham - he was Richmond's rookie we pinched from them in the midseason draft and put on the rookie list to keep...

Re: Operation Sign and keep REDMAN
Redman gets reported for the second time this year for striking.
Just a fine this time.
But for f**** sake - I thought he would have learned from the first one!

We have 3 bunnies in the headlights that are just turning the ball over and over and over. McKay is the most notable of them. Davey is a witches hat Davey should be running around with the Auskick crew FMD he is feeble. Just on him. He somehow leads pressure acts which leads me to think that stat c...

Wound up being a bloody good game.
Still recovering.
I hope the injuries are minimal and most will be available for the WCE game on 4 May.
That's a 9 day break. Jones probably pushing it.

Re: 2024 R7, EFC v Collingwood (ANZAC DAY)
They need to stop the kick straight to the center from the kickout. It has resulted in quick goal and near misses. Most of Parish's touches seem to be handballs to someone under pressure so he doesn't get tackled ... :-( Also too many errors in the backline. Though it is hard when both Laverde (hip)...

Re: 2024 R7, EFC v Collingwood (ANZAC DAY)
Excellent! But the usual lapses in the last 2 minutes of the quarter are damn frustrating. 1 goal 2 points to the Pies. Lucky it wasn't 3 goals.
The difference between a dominant quarter and an OK quarter.

Re: AFL tribuneral etc 2024
Barrass's attempt to use the "Good Guy Defence" (GGD) failed at the tribunal tonight. This is despite: (1) the tackles between Barrass and Cameron being almost identical. And in both cases, the tacklee played on and had no issue after the game. (2) like Cameron, Barrass has done a lot of w...

Re: AFL tribuneral etc 2024
Toby Greene's 1 match ban has been upheld. Yet Hogan got off for his 2 blows to the head (with open hand) because he didn't hit hard enough. I remember when you would get 1-2 weeks for "attempting to strike". So Hogan's intentional attack got off, while Greene's unintentional act in the co...

Re: AFL tribuneral etc 2024
Toby Greene gets a week for actually contesting the ball? That is f*****. I don't like Toby much, but he had every right to protect himself while attempting to mark, so did Jordan Boyd ... but he didn't. Are we getting to the point where a lesser skilled player who has poor technique is protected ov...
