Re: R18 Essendon v Adelaide

It’s a case of when, not if Fanta will find form (unless of course he is carrying an injury)...Surely this will be the game to motivate a return to form. Back home in Adelaide, potential suitors watching on....but, if he was being played as a defensive forward then that is simply dumb. He is an atta...

Re: Open Letter to John Worsfold

Firstly on Worsfold....got my doubts despite recent results. Definitely on the way to securing his job for another 12 months. But...we will probably finish 9th or at the very best 8th with an away Elimination Final likely to be interstate. Injuries will no doubt paper over the cracks in both the squ...

Re: R18 Essendon v Adelaide

Bloody hell, I wish I'd seen this game coz it could be our last win this year the way it's going. Each week the injuries just get worse and each week we manage to pull something out of the hat for a win, something we couldn't seem to do when all our cattle were fit and rearing to go. If nothing els...

Re: R18 Essendon v Adelaide

Well the Crows have been played into form this weekend and should have their tails up by the time we stroll into town. This games needs a special plan...a hit and run type game where maybe a few curve balls are thrown beforehand. This is when you want a Sheedy type presser a few days before, some me...

Re: Who's on modified training?

Once healed, he'd be able to play with a wire or screw in position. The AC jt is shallow and subluxs easily, not as structurally important as the main shoulder jt which dislocates. It's still important though as could be seen yesterday. Primary fixation, initial healing, then motion and strength wo...

Re: Who's on modified training?

Hurls 3-4 weeks I expect? “Unfortunately Michael will undergo surgery in the coming days to repair the damage to the AC joint in his shoulder,” Richardson said. “Once the surgery is complete, we will be in a better position to clarify the length of time he will be sidelined. While it’s a disappoint...

Hurls AC joint.

Hooker...dunno but he wasn't right second half.
Hooker was clearly playing under duress. Some sort of back problem apparently

Re: R17 Votes v North Melbourne

5. Tippa 4. McKenna 3. Stringer 2. D Clarke (held one of the top 5 midfielders to just 15 touches - and had 13 tackles). 1.Gleeson Nods to Saad (massive last half) and Z Clarke (played OK [much better than anticipated] but got bigly outplayed by Goldy). Clarke bettered Goldstein in all key ares bar...

5. Walla
4. Shiel
3. Clarke Z
2 Stringer
1. McGrath

Special mention to Saad (last qtr was significant), Dylan Clarke (Shut down Cunnington), Cale Hooker (for simply staying on the ground)

35 hit outs to Goldstein’s 34. 6 marks to 1

Could not ask more than that from a guy who has copped a lotta flak from all of us.

Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne

Every now and then a team plays a defining match that results in a win for the ages. Without being too hyperbolic, today was one of those games. Down and out in the last qtr, playing one player short, Hooker, how heroic was he playing under obvious duress, three of our best players missing....and th...

Re: Clanger Hangar 2019

Must clean up our act. Imagine if we weren’t 2nd in clangers and 4th in turnovers! These are the things that can get you an extra win or two. If that were the case, we’d be entrenched in the 8. I think that's a bit simplistic really. It might be true, but I'd also like to see where we are with scor...

Re: Who's on modified training?

My view is that rather than giving guys like Heppell and Hurley painkillers to get them through the year (assuming its as simple as that), I would rather see them taken off the list, have the surgery or whatever is needed done now, and have them fully fit by pre-season 2020. We have to be thinking ...

Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne

No changes for this week Surely Snelling in...why did we bother recruiting him in a mid season draft intended to give sides depth to cover long term injuries. Snelling is the obvious replacement for Smith and now with Heppell out, we lack mid field options. Clarke in ruck, Heppell out, Ambrose put,...
