Re: Best 22 2019 - Come on Gimps, let the beast loose

I would have Brown on the bench in place of Myers. Far more deserving of a game and been really good in JD and Smacks absence. Would give SMack and Belly a chance to rotate on and off and through the ruck through the game. If playing JD, SMak and Stringer then Brown won’t play ahead of Myers or any...

Re: Essendon VFL 2018

Thanks for the Rules mate, but you are more aware of the 25 or so players who can play, than I am. Could you give me the relevant player names please? Not sure on specific players, but for us, as I read it, any AFL listed player who played less than 12 AFL games and at least 1 senior VFL game can pla...

Re: Kyle Languid

He has been very good this year.
Had a few strong games and a few down ones.
Not sure transformation complete, but certainly on the way.

When he is a consistent performer more oft than not, then it’s transformation complete for me...

No longer on the junk pile though, that is certain for me.

He was a crucial part of the team, without him we may not have got Zach in the door 😉

Re: SEE YA BRENDAN

Agree with most of what’s written here. Yes at times he was OTT, but at least you know where he stands and that he doesn’t accept mediocrity. Was a godsend during the Saga and (to go on a tangent), we can say we won more games in a severely compromised season with BJ leading the way than the SCUM wi...

Re: Rating the Season

3 Very disappointing especially the 1st half of the season. Usual bullshit losing to bottom feeders and giving them hope, playing ¾ instead of whole games, being shown up in big games when it matters most (Anzac Day, Dreamtime,etc...) Until this team can ruthlessly destroy opponents they should and ...

May keep Leuy for 1 more as backup given Toms injury history & while Draper continues to develop... In the words of John McEnroe, "You cannot be serious!!!!" He has to be the first piece of broken down, stationary furniture that is chucked into the skip. The bloke can't even walk out of his own sha...

Re: Season Gone - Time to Look Forward

Honestly, hard to see Gleeson getting a place in the team now. Shields would be a serious bonus. If he can get back to his pre injury form, Gleeson would free up McGrath to push more midfield. Ridley and Francis should be before Gleeson. Redman looks promising to take Goddard's role. Ambrose still ...

Re: Ess Vs Reichmond

A good comeback in the last qtr, but skill errors cost us badly. Turned the ball over far to easily and that was very disappointing.

At one stage I thought Houli was still a bomber cause we seemed to kick it straight to him half the time.
