2nd Test at Lords Tomorrow.
Sounds like Pattinson may be rested for what’s expected to be a flat wicket. Will Tarc come in or Hazelwood? Archer looks set to play for England, talking the talk it seems.
Whoever wins the toss may have a Bat.

Yes mate,he certainly is.
He’s gotta find a way to climb out of the bloody Rut he’s in.
If he does,it’ll go a long way to Australia Retaining The Ashes!

Smith playing a great knock, but got a rising ball a little under the left ear over his neck strap muscle and he hit the deck pdq. I'm guessing he'll have a sore neck but the ball appeared to hit him below the base of his lateral skull, below where Hughes was hit. I doubt he'll have a concussion, unless it's a contre coup thing, He wasn't wearing one of those guards that were developed after Hughes died. Should be mandatory I expect. edit #2..still not using them.
edit...he's back out there. If he makes a hundred this will put him into the stratosphere of cricket history.
edit #3...plumb LBW mid stump.

Yep,F111.
He kind of walked into that, after a let off the ball before.
What a bummer for him.
But you could hardly go crook at ‘im for it,given he’s scored about 370 plus runs for the series,so far.

2nd Test update...
ENG 258 (R. Burns 53, J. Bairstow 52, J. Hazlewood 3-58, P. Cummins 3-61, N. Lyon 3-68) & 4/96 (P. Cummins 2-16, P. Siddle 2-19) v AUS 250 (S. Smith 92, S. Broad 4-65, C. Woakes 3-61, J. Archer 2-59)
I know he’s a unique player with his own technique, but sometimes, his method will get him into strife. Smudge is lucky he wasn’t killed last night. He was struck virtually in the same spot as Phil Hughes off Jofra Archer. His “Tourette’s style” batting just got him into a horrid position and it looked horrendous. Lucky to not have his forearm broken from an earlier poorly played bouncer.
Needs to work on that. And that’s despite him nearly averaging 65 in Test cricket!!!

The booing when Smith came out again after retiring hurt was just real poor.
Time for it to stop and the UK twats to pull their collective heads in.

Wasn’t aware of the booing until I read some Media sites today.
Watched the Test on Telly at the Pub.Problem was,the one man band meant the sports screens took a backseat and therefore the volume was turned down.

Smith has withdrawn from the Lords Test with concussion (it was pretty obvious yesterday when he called for a review and walked at the same time).
Labuschagne will replace him as the Concussion sub... strange - I would have gone for Marcus Harris given both openers have failed for 3 innings so far and are likely to fail in their fourth given the "ill at ease" demeanor they have both exhibited so far.

10, 15, 16, 21. 62 runs. Warner 18, average 4.5.
The ongoing totals by our openers.
At least they're improving each innings.
What to do?

Can’t our bowlers do the same to them and Archer in particular?!
Reckon Starc must be bursting at the seams to get at the Poms.James too after a rest!
