Depending on how many games we play everyone should host half their games. I guess someone could do a draw!

I think everybody should host half their games. This gives you the advantage of preparing the pitch to what suits your team the best. The match proceeds are split 50:50

In a league match, the home team will receive the full amount. In a cup game, the home team receives 2/3 of the amount, the away team getting 1/3, while for both friendly and Play-Off games the receipts are split 50/50.
It is 50:50, so the main home ground advantage will come from the pitch.

By the way, anybody got any suggestions on whether we go with the Conference idea or the Super 8's idea?

I think we wait until next season. If we have 8 teams then we will all manage to play eachother twice as the season runs for 14 round if I remember correctly.

If we had more teams, say 12 we could split the teams into two groups and have divisions. The better teams in division 1 and the lesser teams in division 2.

We could always have promotions and relegations to make it interesting!

I think we should get the numbers for around about 8. Otherwise as you said rob, having two divisions will work well. We could work out who should be in one and who should be in two.

Looking forward to winning this competition.

I'd be up for the championship, even though I probably wouldn't get a win, I've been given a lowly division 5 side, and i've bought some decent bowlers but just can't make runs. Doing fairly well in my league, lost my first few but since I bought those bowlers have yet to lose a league match. Just had another 7 wicket win bowling the opposition out for 128 and making 130/7 off 19.5 overs in reply.

Sounds like you are going alright Gatsid.

All players begin with a lowly div 5 team. Buying players, promoting others and training them up is the trick!

Does anyone have any secrets on how to train players up.

I've read that it's only worthwhile training yuong players as they learn quicker.

Put the young lads on a couple of nets and they should pop quickly.

Also, you might want to put your Youth Academy up to 20k a week, then you get 10 ITS a week, therefore at the end of the year you will have heaps, so as soon as all the players have their one big birthday, you can make an academy player that is 17 or 18 and he will be a gun!

Thats all
