The only downer was the 6'6 copper that decided to stand in front of me where he wasn't suppose to be standing. When I asked him to move with about 10 others he told us to get farked.
There was not enough yellow in the crowd though. And too many shirts!

Great atmosphere last night ...

The roar after the first goal was amazing ...

I'm so glad the new soccer staduim will only seat 5 people ... it makes total sense.

Second qualification game starts in a couple of hours in China.

Going to be very difficult for us to get a result with the talent who are out.

Starts in 45 minutes.

Missing will be Kewell, Emerton, Cahill, Kennedy, McDonald.

Half of our starting 11. A draw would be a very very good result.

Care to tell us what happened? Sounds like a penalty.

Sorry a dubious penalty was given against Schwartzer in the penalty box and it was bulls**t decision but he managed to save it so that's great.

Not sure how that other Chinese player (whatever his name is) wasnt sent of after going in with studs up.

Refs dont seem to like us in the Asian group, probably because they know we will take a spot of one of the more established asian countries.

Maybe it is because the AFC would like China to have the best shot of qualifying.

I read an article that was along those lines yesterday, I'll try to dig it up

There were two c*nt challenges, the first was on Archie Thompson, the second one over on the touchline was a definite red as well.

The one on Wilkshire should have been a straight red, those sort of tackles can end careers.

We have got ourselves a fairly easy passage now to the WC.
Group A
Australia
Japan
Bahrain
Uzbehkistan
Qatar

Top 2 go through, 3rd place in group A plays 3rd place in Group B with the winner to play the winner of the oceania region.

A result in the Ubekistan would be a dream start. i think it's going to be very tough but we will need all our European players including Cahill to make it past this round. I think we will be tough to beat here at home but we need to pinch a few away games.

Australia beat Holland in a warm up last night 2-1, Harry and Kennedy scoring after being a goal down.

Our opponents on Thursday morning are not to be taken easily, but have just lost to Qatar 3-0 away, which is a big upset.

Euro qualifiers were played last night.
No real surprises, except France losing to Austria and Scotland losing to Macedonia.

Italy very lucky with a 2-1 win away to Cyprus, thanks to Di Natalies 92nd minute winner.

If we (Australia) can beat Uzbekhstan it would set us up nicely. Top 2 in our group go through, so if we can get 12 points, we should be ok, a win away is like gold, no matter the opposition.

Very disappointed about Scotland. Once again losing to a team we should beat.
