Far out... looks like the finals are going to be replayed today!

Having won by 100 points, I'll be mighty annoyed if the result is any different today.

Why would they do this? Clear matches played on Sunday... why erase those matches and replay the final today ... on a Tuesday?!?!?

Not looking good on the finals replay match. Just started and already I'm down 3 goals in the first 5 minutes.

Bizarre how 2 days ago I won by 100 points and now I'm getting a pantsing...

Woo! Won by a goal.

It was tense for a while. They had a late charge after I was 4 goals up 7 mins inside the last quarter.

In the last 5 minutes, they had possession with a goal needed to win. Somehow I managed to score a point to bring the margin to 6 points and then every time I went forward, a pocket (with 44 kicking ability) would decide to centre the ball and lose it, or likewise, my FF would do something equally as stupid. I had the ball trapped in my forward line for the last 2 minutes of the game needing only a goal to seal the match, but unable to do even that. Luckily, I didn't let it get past half forward or I would have been toast. Their midfield was carving me up.

Yeah I was a bit worried Rama. I noticed the 1st final in my league had a different result too. The guy who was originally going thru to the GF lost and now I have to play him next week.

Stupid replay. It was posted on the forum but there was no reason for it in the first place! People complained that the matches were posted too late. Early enough for me to get my lineup posted.

which is a big reason why a lot of people lost... but then some people didn't change line ups and there was a huge difference in the final result.

Just picked up a nice new FF. Paid thru the nose for him because half a dozen guys tried to snipe me with less than 20 seconds to go ... a half a dozen times (GRR!!) but in the end I got him.

Should be interesting to see how he goes this weekend against the side that finished top. Lost by 5 points last time I played this guy so with a new look forward line and restructured midfield, should be an interesting match. Pity he has the home ground advantage though.

I'm getting creamed in the Prelim Final. While my forward line and defense are both rated much higher than the opposition, I can't get the ball to my forward line and it just keeps going from half back to the midfield and they fiend a way to score... if they kick a behind it just comes right back in again and they score.

Talk about frustrating. When I do get a shot I kick a behind.

At the moment I've kicked 1.5 to 5.5 in the 2nd quarter. Not looking good.

There goes my shot at the flag. Lost my prelim by 8 points after being in front with just a few minutes to go. I kicked a goal to take the lead and hardly saw the ball again after that. Each time I got the ball it was immediately turned over. My ruckman, who has got to be close to the biggest in the entire competition, only got 6 taps. I'm not sure what happened there but if he actually won a ruck contest, the match would have gone the other way.

Anyone keen to do a round robin type of comp over the off season at the biggest venues we have available (eg Gatsid's, Rama's, ARCN's, etc)?

I'm in the process of upgrading my stadium but figured the offseason would be a good opportunity to build up funds (with no weekly expenses being pulled out of accounts) to increase stadium sizes etc so when we run our Exhi competition next season we're all going to get a decent revenue from it. I'm putting in another 1000 seats, which I only started after yesterday's Exhi match, so they'll be ready in 2 weeks. Hopefully by then I'll have enough cash to put in another 1000 seats.

So far we have 4 players keen to do something.

I'm playing Gatsid this Thursday. ARCN and Rob, do you want to match up this week?

The next two players to express interest can play each other, if you don't already have games booked. If we've only got 6 teams then we can work it so we have 5 games (1 vs each team) and the winner is based on Points then % (just like a regular season ladder)? I'm open to suggestions, keeping in mind we won't have a huge amount of time between seasons. I doubt we'll have 5 weeks, but who knows. They're looking to implement a bunch of new things in the off season so it'll take time to update all the code.

Pretty sure Rama would be in. Dom has a team too, so that makes 6 if he's interested.
