What the f***'s going on in CA? Why the hell wouldn't you take the new bowling coach (Troy Cooley) on tour with the Australian Cricket Team? I cannot believe it has taken Ricky Ponting to DEMAND that he be sent to the Carribbean for the World Cup tournament. If they're worried about costs and having to limit the touring party, then they are better off leaving Buchanan behind and taking Cooley!

It's been about 10 years since our last one-day Domestic final victory, this was long overdue. And beating Victoria at the MCG makes it that much sweeter.

So Broncos beat Storm
Bulls beat Bushrangers

Now all we need is for the Bullets to crush the Tigers. Why would you want to live anywhere else but Qld :D

Simpson, who emphasised fielding practice during his time as Australia's coach in the 1980s, also said Shane Watson's struggle to develop himself could have been managed better by Australia's support staff. "While Watson is a competent, bustling cricketer, I have doubts if he has the skills or flexibility to cope with cricket at the highest level," Simpson said.

"To me, he looks like an over-coached player, lacking in natural skills and movements. Perhaps this is one reason why he has had so many injuries."

Absolutely spot on. Shame one of the greatest cricketing minds has decided to give the game away. If only there was a way to harness Shane Warne's cricketing brain and pass that on to youngsters. (note I said "cricketing brain").

The decision to rest the World Cup squad players had a massive impact on the one-day final.

Unfortunately for Victoria, it meant Shane Watson couldn't play which gave QLD an unfair advantage. The Vics would have been shoo-ins had he played.

Gee, what a season Ronnie McDonald's having. Clearly one of the best performed all rounders of the domestic competition.

Perfect start by the Vics, will have first innings points by Stumps.

Need to bat for another day and a half and then take another ten wickets.

Looks like it's going to be hard for NSW to win outright especially if Tassie won't set a run chase so that part of the bargain should be held up for Victoria.

It all just comes down to whether or not we can get the 6 points.

NSW bundled out for 53! TAS will be hosting the final no question.

Vics with a meagre 46 run lead have QLD 4-52 in 2nd innings. They need to skittle the rest of them out quickly because I believe the Vics batting of late is as brittle as a Salada biscuit.

If Victoria don't get 6 points from this game they shouldn't be let back into the state.

The score is now 7/206 after having Queensland on the ropes at 5/58!

So instead of chasing something like 100 or so, it now looks like it will be closer to 200 which may prove difficult on this pitch.

EDIT: Perrin just out for 99, must get these last two wickets quick smart and hopefully be chasing something less than 200.

Listening to SEN, the pitch looks to be flattening out a fair bit.
